Evening all - struggling to catch up with everything - only had a quick skim  image

Welcome raisingirl - think I've 'seen' you on other threads already  image

I made chocolate fairy cakes yesterday with choco fudgy icing. They're might be one or two (image ) left if anyone wants one....

It will get better B'man. Living proof here. Never been happier since I've been on my own for the second time.  Keeping it that way too   image

Lovely to hear you so cheerful DD. Enjoy all the lovely times - whether alone, with Charlie, or with friends  image

Clari - summer ended about 22 days ago here. Well - what passed for summer....image

Well done with your fundraising. I haven't got round to setting up one of those justgiving doodahs for a walk yet.  Should have done it for next week.  It may have to wait till next month now   image

Miserable here now. Hope it improves for my week off or I will be very annoyed...image

What is this 'ironing' that you speak of?  image image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    LesleyK says:

Clari, brilliant idea.  Who wants to run a marathon when it's such an effort to drink water for a month. Couldn't do it 'cos I think I'm addicted to coffee and colaimage.  Keeps me awake half the day anywayimage

    See original post

I'd love to run a marathon but I think it would kill me. I drink three cups of tea before I even consider starting work so this whole caffeine free idea I fear may well result in a few unplanned naps! Even if I only raise a few pennies it helps.

Rasin you'll settle in fine here but be warned once you start offering cake you have to keep it up!! :D

  • image  Don't think I've been especially energetic today - in fact I know I haven't - just a bit of kneeling by the sunny bed weeding, and preparing and eating a very easy supper - but I'm yawning for England.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Evening folks, morning Pat image

Another scorcher of a day here, actually getting fed upl with it and want Autumn and jumpers and log fires, sitting in a camisole at 7.15pm in the kit hen is just suggestive! image but its soo hot! image

Welcome back Liri, image sounds like a lovely time! Glad the journey back was less choppy!

Bushman, wonky hugs, don't forget the worries and troubles thread, we are all here to listen and support! And with cake and hugs too! A wonky hug coming right at ya! image

Raisingirl, you fit right in! In my book when it comes to snacks, there is one rule....biscuits mate for life, therefore you must never separate a pair! image not sure if this applies to cakes but worth a go!

DD, great to hear you having a bit of me time! Holidays to look forward to as well! image wonderful to have a rosy future mapped out! X

Memory fails me now and chicken curry is needing attention. Have a lovely evening folks! image

Wonks - you can have some of our weather - it's currently twelve degrees and raining. Think it got to about fourteen today at best   image

Fairy, the forecast is good Wed - Sat so you should be able to take to the hills.

WW, the heating is on, trees and shrubs are turning to autumn colour as are the berries. I can give you a snuggle fleece to curl up inimage

Yes Joyce - it's looking favourable for Wednesday at the moment - but that can change half a dozen times between then and now  image

Not looking too bad for Sunday. Fog early on, then clearing, for the western hills so I expect I'll head out then instead of Saturday. image

Just watching Beechgrove - they have their midge hoods on  image

  • FG same here. A whopping 15° with stair rods.

Clari is there a back door we none Facebookers can use? I tried to donate and it's trying to make me open an account. It can try!!!!

The RNLI is my family's chosen charity so we give anyway but I'd like to support you personally if poss. No tea or coffee for more than 10 mins deserves at least a pat on the back.
