Wow Wonky! Well done. You have every right to be pleased with yourself. Enjoy.
Busy - I see the new garden as it is but also with all the possibilities. We know some things we want - fruit and veggies, trees and shrubs, perennial borders - but we need to live with it a while to see where and how wind and rain come before w e do major plantings. There's also a lot of clearing and pruning to do and checking of fences etc plus a lotof painting walls in the house and probably a new kitchen....
Chappies have just been to take away the second truck with its trailer of plants. I shall see them again sometime next week. Now to carry on cleaning, have dinner in Namur with Possum, finsish cleaning tomorrow morning (bathrooms last) and then sign the contract, grab the dosh and dogs and cat and head south. We'll be out on Sat am trying to get phone and internet organised but otherwise a quiet weekend of clearing cobwebs before the furniture arrives and a holding area for all my treasures.
Dove - be careful. Sorting can become therapeutic, especially when you find things you love and had "lost".
Windy here too but dry. I hope all the wet people get some dry soon but we could really do with some rain.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Careful with all this house werk Dove; I don't want other people getting ideas else I'll be expected to get involved...
... only I have plaster dust on the windowsill yet no plaster on the walls!
Good news however: the builder is starting next week. I'm not going to say the date because he seemed a little bit erm and urm with the actual starting date so I'm mentally allowing a two day spot of flexibility. This is for the construction side of the project. Then we have the electrics, the plastering, and the decorating.
Still... shall we narrow it down to THIS side of Christmas?
Oh the plumbing don't forget the plumbing.
Home again early. Because once again we don't have internet at work which is rather a problem when you NEED to do half a dozen emails!
I'm going to miss Obelixx for those few days, but glad she's finally on the move For her sake.
just popped in to say good night. Once again got trapped watching Jules. He had Annie Lennox on tonight plus some others I didn't know. Rather entertaining But late.
I too would be concerned. after all the usual scammers do a random phone call... we are from microsoft errrm I got a Mac. How on earth do they know who has a heart monitor? And we are told that all our records on computer are safe. Hmmm.

You couldn't make this stuff up could you?
"Allardyce has described the meeting as 'an error of judgement', adding that 'entrapment has won on this occasion'.
But many might say that he's far from being a victim: his payout equates to £15,000 for every day he was in the job."
" entrapment has won on this occasion" No, greed and arrogance lost on this occasion.
Totally agree Hosta - he's obviously a man with absolutely no moral compass.
