I'd hoped to get out after work but it's horrible here now. Very cold and wet. It hasn't been particularly warm - it got to about 14 here - but it would have been good for a bit of digging or summat. Sky was very black and heavy. Well down into single figures overnight regularly too.
Monty Don is on Simon Mayo's radio 2 prog later today if anyone wants to listen.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Evening all, busy couple of days, looked after Merri and Mabel yesterday and stayed over to take them to school and nursery and then tomorrow I'm booked to give Jonah lots of cuddles. It's a hard job but somebody has to do it
Managed to get an hour or so in the garden this morning before the rain started. Split a Tulbaghi or it could be an Agapanthus, the jury's out (do they both have an onion/garlic smell I wonder). Also planted some aubetia and deadheaded.
Saw a boxer dog the other day with a proper tail, it looked quite strange but very happy. I too think that there's too much inbreeding re dogs, it's no wonder many pedigrees have problems.
Erk! ! Sounds awful. I must admit that my toy poodle was 9 years old before we got her so I didn't think about her stubby tail. Mind you, they do it to all the lambs here and if they didn't, there would be major fly-strike problems in summer. Don't want to think about that too much.
Theatre was great - funny, touching, thought provoking and superbly acted .....can't ask for much more than that
Starting to look forward to the weekend already (well we're half way thru the week, so why not?)......going to Herefordshire with a group of friends on a garden visiting weekend. Loads planned, will take lots of pics for the other thread. One I am most looking forward to is the Picton garden with all their asters......should be a good time of year to visit.
But got to get through Thursday and Friday at the saltmines first. Best get going
Good morning all Had a brilliant day yesterday at Thursford them went on to Cromer and pasties and a drink on the pier. Didn't get back 'til quite late so watched Bake Off then went to bed.
Need to drink coffee and read back to see what you've all been up to ...

I reckon it's Tulbaghi as agapanthus don't smell of onion.
Proud to say I've never mutilated a single puppy at two days old using nothing but a pair of scissors, in case people didn't know what it entails...
Said agapanthus but was thinking alium re onion smell, but don't think they grow in such a congested clump.
Really don't know how anyone could do it Steve, isn't it mainly the breeders that carry out this barbaric act Steve.

Morning all.
So chilly last night the dog rug stayed on the bed.
