As Dove has reported I've been granted healing time by the doctor, last thing to do is drop note into work tomorrow then I'm off until Wednesday.
Obelixx, I've got a very strong back generally and am really quite fit, however this is fairly common in my current work as a support worker for adults with physical and learning disabilities, gardening I find far less strenuous and much more therapeutic! Luckily we do get a reflexology session at work once a week sounds like the organising/declutterin/packing is full steam ahead! Going from a massive attic to none is quite drastic but I'm sure you have a place for everything lined up!
Dove, what a stonking haul of grapes! Think that jelly would suit duck nicely! I remember you being married to a builder too! front door handle wasn't fixed until the day we sold the house lol!
Lirio, good to have you back with us! sorry you have been a bit low, we are here to make you chuckle glad mum seems well, even if she doesn't know who people are, I'm sure she's happy to have the company and conversation
Joyce, we had a chilly sunny morning too got out the wooly tights and jumper dress today for the first time!
Clari, I would have thought that living with somebody with caffeine withdrawal would have been motivation enough for OH to create a room of ones own for you!
GWRS I wasn't aware it was the equinox, in the old days, that used to be a nightclub!
Pat, hope you have a lovely time with your son, I agree, keep the cat!
DD, glad you have a friendly bank manager to advise, sounds like your on the right track, and re competition, you are simply offering an alternative
I've started a thread re a bit of news and brain picking expedition
Hope everyone is well, greetings to Hosta, Fairy, Chicky, Lilyp, BusyL, Lesley, Yvie, Pansy, Bushman, Verdun, Hazel, Lantana, Plantpauper, Muddle, gosh I know I've forgotten loads!
Definitely equinox today. Fish out your socks and jumpers. We'll be needing them as the evenings draw in - except Pat whose days are going to get longer and warmer.......
DD - take the mayor a home-made cake or two and emphasise the tea and cakes aspect - so different from coffee or beer and a croque or a piece of French tart if you're lucky. Cultivate that bank manager. he sounds great.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Clarington... drinking Sheffield water for a month is amazing. Did you filter it? I found it totally disgusting when I worked in Sheffield, we had to filter it then boil it and drown it in coffee or tea or other flavour.
Wonky, a gentle amble around a garden centre or two should help your back.
Has anyone experience of trying to prise a pension out of the pension companys hands?. I want to transfer it to an existing SIPP. They wont let me unless I speak to a financial advisor. That will cost me about a years pension. No I don't want the enhanced annuity... By my calculations I would have to live to 101 to get it back at that rate. Great Aunt Sylvia is 101 next month.. but still.
One more sleep til my Great Garden Adventure begins. Other treats on the list are Westonbury Water Garden, Hampton Court (the herfordshire one) and Stockton Bury, along with a couple of yellow book ones. Forecast is a bit changeable, but fingers crossed the showers will miss us. Only one other person in my car, leaving plenty of room for sweeties - thanks for the warning Ob
Early start tomoz, so unlikely to pop in to say hello - so have a good weekend everyone
Congrats Clari - I couldn't have don it either! I think you deserve a massive mug of tea...but I'm drinking it right now...
Have a great weekend chicky - I'll be thinking of you while it's chucking it down here if the forecast's correct. It's beautiful just now, but currently seven degrees outside , condensation on the windows, and rain for when I get home from work. Grrr....
Not sure I'll get a walk either Joyce - thunder, lightning, rain etc for any hills I want to do
Hope you have a restful weekend Wonks. I have trouble with my back too, have done for forty years or so, so I know how horrible it is.
You'll be glad to get moved, obelixx - just so that you can catch your breath for half an hour!
Mine beckons, so I'll catch up later. Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
