Obelixx - I'm going to add a little bit of liquid pectin to be on the safe side
Supper here tonight, oven chips, french beans, really lovely ham and fried eggs ... I've had a hankering for ham egg and chips for ages ... just had to give in and today, when the kitchen was being used for other things, seems a good day for that sort of supper
Ma used to feed Wonky and her brother with chocolate buttons 'for their health' - she said that chocolate has iron and 'it'll stop them being anaemic'

Good morning, lovely and sunny again here although a little cooler - no bad thing.
Not quite sure how I managed it but have a jam packed day again today - book club this morning, followed by lunch, teaching at school this afternoon until 16:30 and then working at chateau at 17:00 until 22:00. I do get a lie in tomorrow though thankfully.
Have a good day all, hope the weather is kind to you all.

Thanks Runny. I'm being good and drinking water, not tea or coffee. Blah.

I love Ma's health tips.
My father used to insist I added salt to food.
" put salt on that"
" I don't like salt"
"it's good for you , put it on"
I've not added salt to anything since he died in 1975.
Hubby home , so proper food tonight after another day of sieving slate chippings.
Enjoy your supper and have a nice evening Hosta

Did you have those with mash or rice Hosta?
Mash, and onions and carrots cooked with the brisket....it's almost ready
I've been tidying an area by the shed to plant out the little rown seedling that's been languishing in a pot.
I'm beyond excited. Went out the back door, and in one of the pots that's by the steps, there's a couple of inches of water...and a frog

Put him, and the pot on it's side, by the pond, and he's now gone to hide somewhere.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yviestevie, Choc buttons are 11 points for 100g. (half my daily intake).
I thought those of you from the Essex area might find this interesting - in our local paper this week.
Good morning all
G'day Pat
Was there supposed to be something attached to that Pat?
overcast here - we're waiting for the promised storms.
