Enjoyed reading back, made me laugh in places too, cuddling a brick and/or milk bottle, shame. Fairy marrying Hosta, no, no no.
Anyway, been shopping in Limoges today, think I've blown my September budget already but I have got a lovely soft red rug, a footstool and a deliciously soft velour fleece throw (ready for winter) and a reading lamp, oh and a tumble dryer (for occasional desperate usage). I managed to buy that with a gift voucher after a massive reduction in the sales.
Treated myself to a raspberry tart but unfortunately (depending which way you look at it) the shop girl gave me the family size one instead of the individual one I had intended to come home with. I did think the box was rather heavy and I didn't get much change from my 10€. Happy to share, the pastry is particularly delicious.
Was enjoying the proms tonight but then a programme came on about David Croft comedy and I've been rather hooked.
Hope you are all having a good evening too.

Fairy, your busy week will free you for the hills later
DD, your shopping spree is gearing you up for the winter when it comes. . . snuggled up with feet on stool, watching TV.. . . . . as for the tart, enjoy it
for Dove's preserves and others' jams, chutneys and pickles.
We've had some proper rain hopefully the grass will turn green soon. It's still grey and overcast and I'm in my jimjams so I've not gone outside to check the temperature yet.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning Dove. I'm glad you had the rain. It's always welcome here as well, because we are so dry. I'm fairly sure our rain has gone now, but predictions for more on Wednesday. Just enough time to catch up on the washing.
Pat, it's the nearest thing we have to a heaving metropolis. Too much traffic, and people and traffic lights. Give me unmade roads and tractors any day.

erm, no dear.
I think, for one thing, my Husband might object.
Hee hee
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hello all. As usual I'm just waking up and most of you will be asleep. Not fair.
might have to make conversation with Hubby (Who, by the way) is reading the morning papers on his iPad. Modern way of life.
Good morning all
G'day Pat

I thought you might have had a sleep in today.
Morning all.
Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here and I've got coalface duties.
Deliveries this morning including Barnstaple, a place for which I have a particular dislike. Hey ho.
Morning Hosta. Even I know the name Barnstaple. Was it from Midsummer Murders I wonder?
