Stopped for a cuppa as the *%$ing rain came on again. Don't the weather gods know I have timber to cut and paint ?
Sorry Clari - but believe me, he's lucky that's all I did after what he did to me. He's still stalking me by phone.
Anyhoo - hope the shoulder's bearing up Dove.
Used to love listening to the cricket - many moons ago. At the risk of sounding like my Dad ( ) - they were proper cricketers then. Getting a bit too much like footballers, some of 'em
I knew Novak had a couple of short outings Joyce, but I'd thought his last one had been a full match. Maybe he'll not be match fit...not that I'm biased or anything...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lantana we got a school magazine at the end of the year with the year's biz. Prize giving, sports achievements (or not) and there was a section for "contributions" of poetry and bits and pieces. When I look at the poetry my peers and I wrote as 11, 12, and 13 year olds it makes me weep. No child should live through that but thankfully we knew no better.
PP and Lantana - yes, those of us brought up with nothing worse than the occasional neighbourhood argument, forget that some of you had to live through truly awful experiences. As a regular visitor to Ireland, I feel sometimes I need to apologise for being British.
Bushman, good to see you. Stay strong!
Hmm, toothbrush Fairy... very inventive! I must confess to being hooked on The Archers too, and really REALLY hope Rob gets his come-uppance.
Cricket? Test Match Special (radio commentary) is fab, even when it rains and they just have a great time chatting. My eyesight isn't good enough to watch cricket any more, except highlights on the telly. It's definitely my favourite armchair sport.
Plums are all picked and there's more jam to be made. Better get on with it!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Got rid of 7 Pattypans at tennis, but there's still loads on the 2 plants - we're having two for supper with some french beans and fresh haddock, there's no room in the freezer - it's full of raspberries - think I'll have to make some jam and chutney sometime very soon - I need room to freeze some beans
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hubbys happy to be home from work in time for the cricket it's not so bad as far as background noise is concerned, the one that drives me up the wall is FORMULA ONE RACING
Daisy/pp A recorded football match goes every day after lunch. . . . even the carers can now name the players. Football live/or recorded for part of the evening. Don't mind rugby or golf. . . . anything but cricket. Apologies to devotees.
