Hello all. Back from Bordeaux. English Bring and Share lunches are always so good.
That must be a good sign Lantana, they don't expect it to hurt.
Steve, my preserving pan is aluminium, used it since I was in my twenties, don't think I've got dementia, but my friends may say otherwise!
We aren't married either, both widowed, but French paperwork, inheritance laws etc. are so complicated. But we did have a celebration in the garden with our close friends, families and a vicar friend and we made promises to each other.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
... Dove, your store cupboard must look fantastic, crammed full of all that lovely homemade produce. ...
All on shelves in the garage - dark and cool - and anyway there's no room in the pantry - we need to fit more shelving in there this winter.
Love a load of preserves all lined up on shelves - makes me feel all comfy inside - wasn't it Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh who felt like that?
Just re-watching GW - so sad to watch the bit about the Pershore plums - a very good foodie friend of mine was writing a book about plums (she had a publisher and everything) when she was suddenly taken ill and died a couple of years ago.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Afternoon all, wet and miserable here all day so no gardening even though loads needs to be done. Been catching up on some TV and finishing off the washing.
Could just eat some of your jam Dove on lovely crusty bread..... stop it. I've just signed up for weightwatchers so I'm not allowed to think about jam, cake and other such goodies. It's fresh fruit and veg for me.
Evening all. Productive day - mainly painting all the masonry round the house again and re-jigging the back gate which has been a right pain in the jacksy. Still a bit to finish on that though. Tied in the sweet peas by the pond a bit - they were a bit windswept after yesterday and had collapsed in a big heap.
I might collapse in a big heap soon too. It would been easier to spend a day in the Mamores than in the garden!
Gorgeous day and ust the right temp for me - not too hot. Lovely jubbly.
Chickeny veggie creamy rice thing for dinner, and a look round here now with a cuppa
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Change is as good as a rest Fairy.
Glad you had a productive day.
Getting chilly for me now. I don't function well below 20C
I struggle when it's above that Hosta!

tee hee. Between 25 and 28 is perfect for me.
If I had to choose , I'd go hotter than that, rather than cooler.
I could never marry you Hosta.....
