Enjoy Russia Chicky I was going to travel halfway across Russia to the Urals to meet my son's in laws for my retirement adventure, but then the wife suddenly became the ex and the trip was cancelled After 8 years of having a Russian DIL I'm afraid the sum total of my Russian is the words for hello, goodbye, please, thank you, Cheers! prawns and parsley. Oh, and who knew that the Bolshoi Ballet translated is Big Ballet? Yes, bolshoi = big. And there's me thinking it must be something terribly romantic and elegant
Just put R2 on and they're playing Melanie's Alexander Beetle ........ wonderful!!!
P.S. Oh and son's cat is called Doorak = Fool

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Chicky great pic. Have a wonderful time and show us some more.
Pat, glad to hear your son is on his way and had to smile about your OH tracking the flight as ai've done that before when son has been on a flight. Mainly to see if he goes over his Grandparent's house Lizzie I missed the programme, but will see if I can get it on iPlayer.m the pictures on the link you gave look lovely.
Dove I hope you get the much needed rain today. We're pleased to see the back of ours. Fairy it looks as though it could be a good walking day. Hope your boots are watertight though. I was surprised at how low the temperature must have got last night as there is condensation on all the windows
Hi Pat. Thank you for today's earworm. Many years ago I went on holiday and one the establishments we frequented (for their most excellent cocktails) played a George Michael song all the time. "I knew you were waiting". The lyrics are all about high mountains and low valleys and wide rivers...
Same here Lesley. Positively Autumnal but clear and bright thankfully. Underfoot is still a bog but hey ho...you can't have everything.
My baskets are going in the bin today. They are losing more than they are keeping and making a mess so must be ruthless. They've been great this year...my best ever so I feel a bit rotten just heaving them into the compost.
Well - I haven't gone walking today Lesley....decided to get on here instead. Not sure it was the right decision, but the decision's been made now...
No condensation on my windows that I could detect, but definitely much cooler today. Yesterday wasn't any great shakes in temp anyway though. Temps on the hills are very low or below zero just now so heavier fleece would have been needed today.
Beautiful pic chicky. Hope you have a truly wonderful time - you all deserve it
I'm intrigued by the vocabulary you learned in Russian Dove. Hello, goodbye yes - prawns and parsley....did you eat a lot of those then?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Good morning Dove. Snap with the rain.
Morning GWRS. Hope you enjoy your visit.
Greetings from Russia
Trip has started well
Have just taught myself thankyou and goodbye ......decided that, and liberal application of cheery smiles, should just about cover it
Wow Chicky. That photo is very impressive.
Enjoy Russia Chicky
