yeah Dove. He used to roll onto his back to have his tummy tickled.
He's had more than his 9 lives though. The splint he had to wear after being caught in a rat trap, his wonky tail after being hit by a car, being stuck in a shed for 11 days. and he's been sporting a rather natty bandage on his tail for a week now too.
You'll have to join me in a few walks instead. You'll end up with thighs like Linford Christie though....
I managed to annihilate a wood pigeon on the road yesterday Hosta. He had a choice of directions to fly in as there was a car in the outside lane as well...he chose mine...
If he hadn't been so hefty he could have got off the ground quicker...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Afternoon all. Just nipping in quickly as my brain needs to reset: back to school rush at the museum. At least I'm not like one teacher I spoke too earlier. She couldn't remember her surname for the booking form.
Will try and get back in properly later but alas stomach issues have flared big time and I don't have much energy.
He's only got one ball though Fairy and it's an odd shape. Glad your shoulder is less painful though Dove.
Sorry, meant to say hi everyone. We had a wonderful time at Stobo. The surroundings, pool and luxurious touches are gorgeous but I thought you were meant to come home fresh and invigorated. I fell asleep halfway through Countryfile, woke at 3am, had a cuppa, fell asleep again and got up at 830am. Poldark will have to wait for me.
Fairy I misread your post this morning and thought you were playing footie in the garden. Time for an eye test.
Obelixx it's a shame that you're having to leave a good gardening group but I'm sure you will be able to enthuse many other people in your new home. Good luck with the rest of the clearing
Pat, you'll be ready for bed tonight. Quite an eventful day. One thing that did occur to me was when you went the 'off-road' way was there much traffic about, seeing that you had a fuel problem and no 'phone signal?
Hi Lesley. I'm in bed and it's after midnight but not asleep, too much to remember for tomorrow.
Hardly any traffic on the forward journey - we did have to slow down to a crawl at one stage while a young fella was moving his cattle from one paddock to another " just up the road a bit" and had to break sharply for a feral pig that decided to cross the road in front of us (and HRH had to be lifted back up onto her seat after being jerked off), and then a bit later, had to stop altogether for an echidna that was ambling from one side of the road to the other and then drag itself up the soft dirt at the side. Oh and I stopped counting dead wombats and kangaroos after I got to 100. Wombats always lie on their fat little backs with their 4 feet up in the air. You can't mistake them for kangaroos which are usually lying broken on their sides. (It upsets me very much, but there's not much I can do. They jump out without warning and people cant avoid them).
Im really in a miserable mood tonight, arent I? I need to get some sleep. I must remember to insist next time Hubby suggests going the back way that I do not want to go there. Apologies.

Hi all.
Grey and miserable here.
Finally got to a bank, when it was open, and waited 20 minutes to pay a cheque in.
Just potting up some I. reticulata, and got a bit of a fright, pulled back the flap on the bag, and a toad jumped out, nice, but a bit disconcerting.
Enjoy your day everyone.

I'm no fan of cats, but he was a lovely wee guy.
Pat - that's a bit too much adventure for one day
Glad you got back safely.
Dove - watch that knitting as well

Looks like it might be worth a watch/ record.
That'd be a vast improvement Fairy - they're more like these at the moment
