I've been reliably informed that dresses are shorter nowadays because you wear them as tunics over leggins, jeggings or jeans - not bare legs or tights - glad someone told me, I might have committed a fashion faux pas
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I think that the only times this year that I've not worn jeans was for Ma's funeral, and the hot summer afternoons when I had no choice but to laze in the shade on my lounger in my fabulous kaftan.
I do have some dresses, just in case - but I don't think I've worn a proper frock since Wonky's wedding

I think I still have one nice dress - a nice Phase 8 one I bought for someone's wedding eight years ago. Got rid of everything else when I moved from that last house.
I have trousers but I don't go anywhere smart enough now that I can't wear jeans. I'd better hope other nephew or niece don't decide to get married
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I have some nice linen trousers which I can wear with a pretty top or a tunic/dress for 'going out in the summer - my dread is being invited somewhere smartish in the winter when linen isn't really right.

Only just read back as I've had my brother round with a friend I was nanny for when I was 19.... He's 32 now and so dark and handsome he would give Runnybeake a "Poldark moment" I still picture him as aten year old! been lovely to catch up though.
Lantana, good to have you back, glad you got to do a little sightseeing, sounds like it was amazing! Best wishes to you and your friend.
Obelixx, best of luck for the journey and move, your new home looks lovely and what a space of ground to get stuck into!

I commit those every day Dove....
Fortunately, we have little need for flimsy summer dresses here, so it's a dilemma I rarely have to face....fleece is more useful!

Tunics and trousers have been my staple wardrobe for a year.
