Blast it! I went upstairs so many times today and each time I forgot to have a count up.

I can't wait until I get my first tea on Friday.

Neighbours are burning *everything* and covering my garden in ash. At least the darker nights mean I can't see it now :(

    eek. Long old day.

Waking up at 6ish really knocked my body clock for the day.

Nice incident at work earlier when I was on checkout.

Nice old guy, served him, gave him his change, and receipt etc, but he was rabbiting on so I kinda had to carry on chatting to him even though there was a queue.

When he'd finished and moved on , the next customer came up.

    "Sorry about the delay Madam"

" D'you know? You might be the only person that old man gets to speak to to-day. Thank-you for taking to the time to chat with him and not "move him along" as some would. I'm sure he appreciated and I certainly didn't mind waiting for him to finish. He was clearly enjoying your conversation"

    Aren't folk nice sometimes?

    Devon.

Hi everyone. Lovely story Hosta. Hubby is still tracking our son and he is currently over NSW. Narromine.  It'll be fun to catch up and look at photos and hear about his experiences. I'm not sure when we'll see him. He needs to get settled first, I suspect. Probably next week.

Sorry B Lizzie, I forgot to mention your problem. Sounds a bit like where we live. It's not a nice feeling To be alone without modern gadgets .image Lots of inside things to keep you busy, I guess.

    Morning image

Feeling for Lizzie - hope you find someone to stay with you, or go on a little hols yourself .....maybe visit some of the grandchildren?

Off to the theatre tonight??? Going to a tiny theatre where the audience surround the action - makes for quite an intense experienceimage But normally a memorable one.

Too dark to pick raspberries, so raisins on my porridge .......sadnessimage. Can we do summer all over again pleaseimage

  • Good morning all image

Maybe BL can have someone to stay ...

What ya going to see Chicky?

Night temps no lower than 11.3C in the back garden, often a little cooler at the front but as the pack of grass seed says that it's a new mix that should germinate in 3-4 days at temps over 3C, I'm expecting to see activity out there soon ...

Best bit about sowing grass seed is when you've convinced yoursellf it has failed, and then all of a sudden you see that green haze ........

Morning Dove and Chicky. We've had rain all day, so I've been inside again.

How are you settling back into routine after your lovely trip Chicky?

Our son arrived home this afternoon and sounds good on the phone. We'll probably get a visit on the weekend from him.  He doesn't like driving down here when it's school holidays and they start this weekend, and it's especially crazy when there is fresh snow on the ski slopes. They've had more falls over the last couple of nights and more expected.

    Have a good one all.
