Morning folks, Well the weather is looking promising, but then it did yesterday until the heavens opened.  Planning to get out and do a bit of cutting back.  I also want to sow some seeds, problem is I'm not feeling very motivated.  I have no idea why.

    Hi Hazel and everyone else.

ive been feeling a bit under par today, but ok. Been to town, done the shopping, took HRH into the pet shop for her 6 weekly shower and shave (and teeth cleaned and treated with something magical).

Im convinced my medication is knocking me about, but my Dr doesn't agree, so Ive to persevere until I see her next time. image

Hope everyone is ok over there - shoulders and other probs.

Our son's study group were planning to visit the Great Wall of China today. He rang yesterday and sounded as though he's having a good time. There is a huge hurricaine heading towards Taiwan and China, but we don't know if it will get as far as Hong Kong, we'll keep an eye on the weather channel for info.

Hot and clammy yesterday, but no rain.  Had to put the sprinkler on the beans!  21.9C here at the moment.

I'm lunching with a former colleague too,  to help her celebrate her well-deserved First in her BSc Hons Social Work image image Apparently it's not just an ordinary First, it has Stars, Bells and Whistles on!!! image She's worked so hard for this in some difficult circumstances, supporting her daughter through the loss of her baby (and her first grandchild) whilst working on her dissertation, so we're all so pleased for her image

However, feeling a bit shell-shocked as I've just heard my pensions advice chap died a few weeks ago - he was a fascinating chap, a Dane and a former professor of botanical sciences at the UEA and John Innes, who had made a second very successful career for himself as an IFA - meetings with him were never boring.  I shall miss him.  Plus I've got to find someone else to do his job ...

Thanks all of you for your support. I'm ok, just a bit tired and not thinking straight.image - yes I know, that's usual for me, but it's worse than usual.  When I tried to drove home today, I couldn't remember which lever for the windscreen wiper or  blinkers. Hubby took over and drove home.

Anyway, I grilled some chicken and warmed up last nights mashed potoato and Broccolini for dinner and we got through it quite happily. I sprinkled a bit of Sumak on the chicken. I love the lemony flavour.

  • Bless you Pat - you sound tired ((hugs)).  Glad hubby is looking after you.  It might be an idea to keep a little log of how you're feeling each day - even at what times of the day - sometimes taking medication at different times etc can make a difference to how they interact and how they affect you.

I love sumach too Pat.  Hope you're feeling brighter today.

Sorry about your FA Dove.   Always a shock to lose someone you like.

Hot and sunny again here.   After lunch I'm off to collect my hamamelis order and make sure they're potted up safely for the move and then some gentle pottering while I can before the weather breaks and I can cope with tackling the attic again and all the packing up of bedrooms and garden tools and stuff......

I hope no-one has suffered damage in the biblical storms.
