Just watched the programme http://www.kieronwilliamson.com/ We went to the gallery exhibiting his work in Holt, brilliant, bought 2 prints, all we could afford. His paintings are now selling for thousands.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good evening everyone. Not long woken up and thinking about getting up. Son rang from Mascot (Sydney) to say he is now waiting to board his plane, so daughters taxi worked.
Sorry Gardengirl, I've only now sat down after breakfast, pet duty and various kitchen things, so I assume you're in bed now.
Our son is studying Design and a group of students and teacher(?s) are going on a tour of various places in Hong Kong. I don't know who or what they are visiting, but the Great Wall is one place they plan to visit. Not surprising that they'd want to visit the wall while they are there. Their assignments include photography and photographic computer manipulation etc.
We are minding his cat, Pixel, while he is away, so between our poodle who refuses to acknowledge the cat's presence in "her territory" and Pixel trying to get out or back in every few minutes, we are kept on our toes. I'm glad to sit down now. Might do a bit of colouring in.
Hubby is having fun tracking the flight our son is on. I'm getting running commentaries, such as, he's east of Cammoweal now and they'll pass east of Darwin when they leave Australia.
But here, rain, rain, rain! I can't believe the predictions are correct for a change. I checked the rain gauge just now and we've received 13.5mm so far. Not bad. I can see that our river is starting to spread over the gravel bed, so here's hoping we get enough to give the river a good clean out. Don't worry about us, though. We are at least 50 metres above the river, and the valley is wide.
We're due some rain here today, if there's any left after the clouds have passed over the rest of the country. I'm looking forward to being able to do some proper work in the garden - the front bed is to be extended, but at the moment I'd need a pneumatic drill!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning all , a bit early for me , has been raining overnight but of to Scarborough to the Threatre in the Round to see an Alan Ayckbourn comedy with local Threatre club
