Hope you nod off soon Pat. I know what you mean about feeling upset about dead animals on the road, I drove past a few hedgehogs and a badger yesterday. Your animals are slightly more exotic than ours and there seems to be more of them. Hate to see a dead anything (apart from slugs-and they probably die of old age in our garden
Hosta, sorry I forgot to mention your neighbourly cat. Very sad. It just goes to show that all animals have personalities. Some of which can get under your skin.
That's a lot of roadkill Pat. Definitely a route to be avoided.
Hosta - so sorry about Sebastian. He sounds like a proper character.
Ours has been displaying this pm. Took her and the dogs to be vetted for the trip to Malvern and she decided she wasn't having any of this worming malarky. Shredded me and the vet and ended up in a harness with no claws sticking out. She's now grumping in our bedroom under the dressing table. The dogs were fine but don't much like all the prodding and poking either so Bonzo has gone to hide under my big hostas.
They have to have the same checks and jabs and worm, tick and flea treatments to go into kennels these days so a lot of unavoidable fuss. Next year the rellies can jolly well come and see us at home!
Sorry you're unwell Clari. Hope it clears up soon.
Lesley - tis I wot organises our meetings and sends out photos and reports of our garden meetings along with "what to do now" mails so it may all go pear shaped. I have one lady happy to organise the meetings rota so I hope they'll carry on meeting. Still in touch with old members that have gone home to the USA and UK and no doubt some of the current members will visit.
Have dropped off loads of games and Barbie and Bratz stuff to a local after-school childcare centre and Halloween and Xmas and Easter decs too. Back up the attic again now. Nearly done - apart form my huge pile of fabrics.........

We had a good day, went on the steam train, Holt to Sherringham. Looked around Sheringham and had lunch. took the train back, looked around Holt and had tea in a tea shop.

TV man arriving today, hurrah, no more balancing the laptop on my knee and all the channels I want.
Working later and right now I have to nip around to a bachelor pad - I started work there yesterday, just a bit of cleaning and ironing for a couple of hours a week - problem was they had no ironing board and the oldest iron you've ever seen - had to bring the ironing back to mine to do. They have promised to go and buy new ones ready for next week and gave me an extra 15€ to take the ironing home. Now I have to dash back with it as neither of them have any clothes left to wear - catch up very soon.

Very damp here - we're missing the dry stuff unfortunately. It was a strnage day yesterday - mild, sunny, damp - all at the same time. Got a hydrangea moved into it's new home though
Nice green grass here Dove....the problem is getting it dry enough to cut this week
Off to take daughter to work and car to the garage for MOT. Brakes to be done too. Bye bye plant buying budget....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It's warm out there, nearly 19C, but there's a sort of misty dampness in the air - a real autumn feel - but the grass is still the colour of cardboard
