Re the wet t-shirt: not really a good idea when the garden is bordered by a public footpath but if it's really hot I run my sunhat under the cold tap. Cooling the head does wonders.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Liri: I wouldn't worry about clothes not fitting midgets with big boobs. They don't fit 31 year olds who are 5ft 9in size 12 super long legged with good birthing hips and big boobies.
Must be something about boobs that gets designers in a muddle. That must be why men never seem to have the whole clothes problem.
Liri - I have always been busty even when a very slim hourglass so took to making my clothes for work and play - so much easier than altering! Recently I have found Pepperberry which does clothes for curvy ladies but the dresses are too short for people my height (5'6 and a bit) and age (27+). Tops are good though it's hard to find cotton. Don't like man mades. Longer dresses can be very cool and comfy but I usually end up in loose fitting 3/4 length pants and strappy tops.
We're on the cleaning and last minute errands phase now. OH has been to the dump with more crud and I have been to stock up on pigs' ears for the doggies - treats on the journey - and some bags of bulbs leapt into my hands - two kinds of scented white daffs, allium Christophii and leucojum Gravetye Giant. Then I went off to look at new kitchen lights - on sale here so 45€ for 3 sets of 2, 3 and 4 spots whereas similar seen in France in summer started at 40€ for a 2 spot. Then another shop to buy a weed gun cos there'll be no more glyphosate.
OH is sweeping the attic before I go in and dust and vac. Seems redundant to sweep but he's decided it needs doing. Then a quick dust and vac of the rest of the house, floor wash and car clean before we start loading up for our little convoy. OH gets the dogs and I get the cat. Last garden jobs will be taking rose cuttings, just to see, and lifting one or two last plants and watering them all ready to go in their transporter tomorrow.
Best crack on.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hubby is a gibbon with the longest skinniest arms. Only Paul Smith shirts really fit ( he tells me )
If he buys L or XL to get the sleeves the right length, they seem to assume you're obese and he ends up with acres of spare fabric flapping about his middle.
He's also got a 30" waist and 34" legs. Not a great combo.
I concede you ladies with the whole curvy bit issues have got it tough.
Hope the move goes well, Obelixx. Lots of interesting times ahead.
We still, haven't got wind or rain but I filled the thermos with boiling water so that, if need be, we can at least make a cuppa in the morning. A last look outside and I can see brilliant stars (1am as usual) and Hubby had a peek onto the weathe report on his iPad and there is no sign of the storm getting over here. Maybe SA got the lot.

Time for sleep. Night all.
Hope the storm misses you Pat. There is one on it's way here (again).
A large potted Azalea was blown over in last night's wind along with lots of twigs and leaves from the tress in the wood.
I went to the shops this afternoon for the first time in weeks. . . . . couldn't believe the amount of C......stuff out on display already.
Good to see RB and Solent back
obelixx - have a safe journey and best wishes for the new house and garden.
Clari - enjoy your new office for a brief few few hours.
