  • Hi Zenjeff, thanks. Are they annuals or perrenials?

  • This flowers photo thread is so nice. Thanks Aym, oh yes it has focused on the anther hasn't it, I didn't even realise! And the dahlia 'colour sensation' just google it, lots of images should come up? I'm pretty sure that's what you've got. The stems on ours have been snapping since the start. The flower is huge though...Thanks for info on astrantia. If I see one somewhere I'll try and get one...at the moment I just can't get anymore plants as I can't cope!

  • Yes you're right Aym - no more dahlias for me! Am not going to grow a couple of the varieties I didn't really like and I need the space so will have to lift them...oh dear the thought of that onerous task. Are you leaving yours where they are? Do you think my little collarette tubers will survive in the ground?

  • Just found out today that two of my Asters are now Symphotrichum. Kylie (terrible name) is just starting to flower now and Bishop Colenso  the verge of flowering. So nice to have late flowers when everything else is over. Are the Aster family easy to grow from seed?

I've never thought of letting Thunbergia ramble and 'get on with it'  F'bones but it's very effective.

Logan, you and your neighbour are providing an excellent show for others to appreciate.
