I'm a wee bit jealous of those of you further south who still have so much blossom.

My flower colour is from Michaelmas daises , nerines, Japanese anemones.  Have lots of shrubs in glorious autumn colours though.

Raining here too, and in the night, so welcome.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hi, just noticed some new flowers and except the dahlia, which was flowering before, I was quite surprised that these have flowered in October:

The roselily is struggling...but has managed to open somewhat. I have another one which is stuck mid-burst for three weeks. Youtube time-lapse videos of lilies opening take 12 hours. So not sure these will open :-(

The chrysanthemum is changing colour...not sure why. It was pure yellow before. Now apricot tinges. Any ideas? It looks quite nice.

Hi Aym. The first flower is hesperantha coccinea 'Major'. I agree, it is just too beautiful. I drive past a house everyday that has a whole flower bed of just that and it's lovely. I first saw it in my works garden and asked the gardener what it was and he told me. He said the official name recently changed from schizostylus to hesperantha. I saw it very cheap at Martineau garden, a charity in Birmingham and had to get it.

    The roselily is 'Natalia'.

Oh I think the clematis in my profile photo is cassis. I don't have that! I took the photo 3 years ago at the NEC. I tried to change my profile photo a few times but couldn't.
