  • Aym, thank you! I'll happily post more flowers--all over for next year though. I expect the young ones to get up enough strength to produce at least a flower or two by next year. It does take patience, some of mine are in their third year, but once nicely packed in a pot they come back a lot. I got mine because of a neighbour's pot in a basement area. I will repot a couple next spring so I could try and separate an offset for you then--but I can't promise it will work...

  • The Gazania is fantastic Aym. It's been a while and here's all I can muster!!

The Rudbekia Marmalade turned out quite naff! More are ready to flower. Arghh!image

Hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to Spring.

  • The Rudbekia has taken ages to flower...partly due to it not being in a full Sun position probably. There's a few more ready to flower but I'm not sure they'll make it.

Went Kew Gardens on Friday. I just love this....hope its o.k to post here Aym? I want it at the front of a border next year. I wonder how difficult it is to grow?image

Michael - Iresine is usually grown as a house plant so I would assume that it's tender.

Others may have experience of it as a garden plant.

Couldn't get the photo the right way up. Frustrating. You'll have to turn your head left 90°!!!

Great photos all Michael turned your photo right way needs to grow a bit before picking

  • Thank you Zenjeff for rotating my photo. There really have been a lot of fantastic flowers and plants on here. Lots have given me inspiration for next year.

I would have never dreamed it possible to grow a melon in our climate. Well done Aym.

  • Aym...The Polka Dots are very eye catching.

I understand what you mean about bringing cuttings inside. I can't exactly hijack all the indoor window ledges. Not only that, the cat would run amok. I am going to have to choose 3 small pots and that's my lot. Will try my best to mulch whatever prone plants are left outside.

No one seems to sell Heuchera Lime Marmalade in small pots in Garden centres. I'm certainly not paying a tenner for it. They had some lovely examples at Kew in the shop. And the iced sugar one...I think it's called.

  • Hope the Jasmine pull through Aym.

Heres some Penstemon cuttings that just made it! image

I made the mistake of not rotating the pots and they have a somewhat 'lean toward the Sun' look about them. 4 inch pots. They've rooted firmly.
