Morning all/afties Pat-your pic earlier made me go brrrrr image

Although it's not too cosy here either. Typical weather for daughter's birthday - it's hardly ever nice on it. I seem to remember a lot of children playing party games and chittering in their summer frocks when she was little...I could have let them come inside but, life's hard, get used to it...image

Clari - I didn't realise you had such serious health issues - perhaps I've missed you mentioning it.  All the more admirable - the amount you do. I will take my hat off to you when I next wear one image Hope you get a bit of a break today.

Work beckons...image who invented that anyway? image

I'll catch up with you all later - in between cake icing, and eating,  and tennis watching....I may be gone some time.....image

Have a great day everyone  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all, waking up to glorious sunshine ?.

Busy weekend here and my house looks like a squat (thanks teens) housework is top of the agenda, dishwasher and laundry both on first load with more to follow.image

Having a second cup of tea while I read back and try to catch up.

Fairy, it made me go brrr as well. I thought you all might be able to crow that you're at least in summer. It's been damp all day and might even have rain tonight or tomorrow. That should warm it up a bit.

Morning all image  G'day Pat image  Happy Birthday to the birthday boys and girls image

It's a gorgeous morning here - blue skies, bright sunshine, birds singing, hot air balloon drifted by our bedroom window at 7am  - not a lot that's urgent in the garden, other than encouraging my late sown borlotti beans to get a move on - they've all appeared at the base of the teepee, they've just got to get winding upwards now image - so a bit of h****w**k as the dust's getting thick in the bedroom - then I'll scrape the potatoes for supper and settle down with Topbird and Roger on the sofa  image

PDocs photos are on David's camera thread Lily.

Morning all,  Hope all birthday boys and girls have a good day.  Firstborn arrived a day late for the 4th July celebrations.  Will be seeing her tomorrow as I'm on Nanna Duty.

Glorious day here very warm and sunny.  Have run a few errands this morning and now have to wait in for the tumble dryer man to come as apparently I have one of those that are likely to catch fire at a moments notice.

Not too much to do in the garden so will potter around moving a few pots into gaps created by the early summer flowers being cut down.

Hope aches and pains improve Lesley and Clari.

LP, your friend will be pleased to see you..It's good that you will be in her home for the visit. . . much more relaxing surroundings.image

Gardens up here are well behind those in the south. Still. . . .something to look forward to we hope.

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

I was just going to say that Pdoc's pics are on Camera Talk LilyP - they're stunning.  I hope that your friend is beginning to make some progress.  You are a very good friend to her.

Yvie we had one of those tumble driers too and when they came we had the option to buy a new one for £60 as ours was over two years old.  It was actually about six years old so we jumped at the chance as it was free delivery and they took the old one away.  Resultimage.  I've always been careful to clean the filter every time.

Joyce it can be frustrating to see all the gardens blooming down southimage.  My peony is threatening to open fully but the wet and cold weather has rotted half the buds.  A shame as I'd counted 11 buds a few weeks ago.

    Oh dear it's afternoon nowimage
