It's cooled down here a bit. Spent the evening playing cards outside and moving the sprinkler. What a lovely day today has been. Cold seems a bit better and no spots (other than one mozzie bite). Hopefully I'll miss the Chickenpox. Haven't had any of the normal childhood ailments, did carry the chickenpox germs home to my sister, she wasn't impressed I was only at Junior school and she was 18. She had to send mum to meet her boyfriend and tell him she was ill. No phones then.
Didn't even have to have the TB jab I was immune to that too. Pity my immune system doesn't stretch to arthritis, still can't have everything.
Good evening everyone. That took quite a lot of reading back. We got woken at 10 am by one of "those" phone calls. HRH is still asleep as well. Well, I did jokingly say last night that I wanted to have a sleep in on Sunday, so there!
Nothing planned for today, but the house could do with a vacuuming. I'll think about it after Ive thought about breakfast. Hmmm.
Hubby has his weekly trip to the tip before 1pm, so he's sorted.
I've had a rather good relaxing day. The weather feels threatening, so I've been out and closed the GH and picked some silverbeet for dinner tonight and am now snuggled with HRH (who by the way didn't wake until 11am) on the lounge chair. Doing some colouring in. I found a beaut colouring book in Canberra - Where's Wally. It's a real challenge. I don't know who draws these huge pages of characters, but it takes a lot of concentration finding them all. Great fun. Is this a second childhood?
Morning Pat - and Joyce if you didn't get back to sleep...
I woke at six, so decided to get up, have a cuppa and catch up with some of the stuff I've recorded.
Cool and wet here. Supposed to clear later but rain for the afternoon. Glad I got some things done after my walk yesterday.
I think you're having a third childhood Pat- nothing wrong with that
I've just reported someone on that tv programme thread. His attitude is baffling. It's not gone unnoticed by others either. Oh well, I'll probably get banned now too
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
What's all this about second and third childhoods I'm still waiting for my first one to end
The garden is lovely out there in the morning sunlight - and it looks as if the slug nematodes have worked on the veg patch - no more damage to the bean plants and the chard and spinach seedlings are untouched Whoopee!!!
It looks as if we'll be lunching out on the terrace with our friends later on today

I have not been very cool this evening, the weather seems to be getting hot again. We ate dinner outside.

I managed a couple of hours gardening, came in to find my husband had cooked me this:
I'm a lucky girl!
