No part of me is Welsh but I fancy Robbie Savage rotten so does that count? I was virtually faint last night listening to the match! The last six minutes were the longest of the Summer so far!
Have any of you read the Anne Perry books about WWI? I have read the series a couple of times and I love them. It really brings it home to you about the conditions in the trenches. Poor b...s.
Rain stopped play again, think the weather is set in for the day.
OH feeling feisty today, have just had to stop her going round to NDNs, to complain that she is fed up with lewd suggestions being made by the husband.
Great idea, but for once I have managed to locate sensible gene, and suggest that it may not be the wisest move.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Came in from the garden to watch tennis - but just a nice picture of the covers
At least 20 of the Gove slaps are from me. Pathetic really - but I sat there saying that's for you, and one for luck, that's for Boris, and one for luck that's for Farage, and one for luck, that's for Corbyn....
Felt surprisingly better afterwards. I have had 8 days now of feeling permanently angry - really furious at times. Have never, ever felt like this for so long before. The only good thing is that at least some people who might usually say "Oh I hate politics - I don't bother with voting - it's a waste of time etc etc" have been engaged by this.
Watched some of the Punk Brittania last night - quite enjoyed it. I wasn't into punk at the time but I enjoy the best bits.
Shower & lunch now - maybe tennis in a bit - fingers crossed. Skies very threatening ....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
The visitors have left and we've cleared up all the Lego. (I think...) The house seems strangely quiet without a 4-year-old wanting to "help" in the kitchen and a 2-year-old demanding stories every 5 minutes... They probably won't be over again from Ireland until next summer, because the older poppet is starting Big School in September, so there will be more visits from us to them instead. The first visit will be in August and we're already looking forward to it!
It's been a busy week for all of you by the look of things. I've managed to skim-read most of your posts - so best wishes to Runny for a speedy recovery and to Clari for the bruised wrist, among other people feeling poorly.
Hopefully I'll be able to contribute a bit more this week. Got 2 concerts, tonight and tomorrow, with different choirs, but then I'm at home a bit more, I think. Might even get into the garden...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Well done punkdoc. Put it in the diary and chillax!
Bloke's a nut! Maybe Mrs punkdoc should mention that to the police after last week's episode!

Pat on the back doc
I can completely understand how you and OH feel though
Hopefully just a shower T'bird, although if they're like ours, that means an hour of rain with five minutes of dry...
I was hoping for some guilt free, tennis watching leisure time too, as the weather's pants here...

I was born in Wales .....does that count
.
Rain has stopped - feels very strange to be sat on the sofa watching telly in daylight .....think I could get used to it.
Know exactly how you feel Tbird ....I have been angry for 8 days too. And the behaviour in the last 3 has been nothing short of despicable.
