Crumbs Busy - what a responsibility.   Sounds like fun tho.   Hope you enjoy it.

Hot again here and I'm on chair duty again now I've done some essential admin.  Have a deadline!

OH has picked all the gooseberries this morning and is now dead heading hostas to help them keep their foliage looking good.   A few have now been chewed by slugs despite my best efforts so they need the lack of seed making stress to recover.

DD - yes, you'll have fun making a new garden all for you and Charlie and it's great that Busy can help with extra plants and that Charlie will keep his friends.

Glad RB is OK and look forward to her return.

Happy gardening to those who can today and happy dreaming to those who can't.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Well that 'bit of tidying in the house' turned into vacuming all through, stripping the bed, washing on, dusting and polishing upstairs and sorting out post, mags and books lying around.  Phew.  I'm going to have rest the old back before attempting any gardening.

Mmm must look into bus passes, how old do you have to be.

Just checked re bus passes.  Apparently the powers that be who decided to delay my state pension for six years have also decided that I don't deserve a free bus pass either.  image

Hello Wonky - we need photos of the giant dahlia ... remember, if you get to the top you have to beware of the ogre ... and any golden geese that lay golden eggs have to be shared with your Mama - that's the law!!! image

Have a fantastic day tomorrow - give Step Gdaughter a big ((hug)) from me and tell her she's a very clever girl .......... a real credit to you both ......... you've done her proud image

Trying to do some potting on outside, but it's getting warmer and warmer and I'm beginning to melt... and now the neighbours across the way have a man and an angle grinder making a noise image

    Afternoon all.

Hiya Wonky, nice to see you again.

A couple of hours of nice steady light rain this morning which, I'm sure, did the power of good.

I'm having a cull on some dahlias I no longer like. I'm not carrying passengers. ggrr Into the compost bin with them.

    Devon.
