Hi Dove and ChIcky. We've had a quick trip to Canberra today and I'm now flopped in front of the TV and have stoked up the fire. It's been cold today, so I'm glad to be in.

    Morning all.

Another beautiful blue sky this morning, feels slightly cooler but still hot already.

Had a Nanna day again yesterday, do enjoy my time with poppet.

    Off to see sister today.

Runnybeak has asked me to thank everyone who sent PMs with all their good wishes and kindness. She was very touched by your thoughts.  x

Runny is well, just needs a little time to sort a few things.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Take care, TTFN x

    Morning all,

Not much time to read back, but I hope RB manages to sort out her problems and that all the people with nasty colds start to feel better soon. image

I've no grandparents to share the care of Charlie with and for the brief time they were alive when he was a baby I spent a lot of time with them letting them get their cuddle fix but they weren't able to look after him as it were, as much as they would have been willing to.

I do have a good network of friends (via Charlie) and we do all try and help care and share our childcare between us, taking it in turns. It works well except Charlie has a few favourites and I am conscious he goes to them more than others but I suppose that is only natural and I do try to make sure I give as much time back as I use. It is a very long holiday here, 8 weeks and he was adamant he did'n't want to go to holiday club this year. image

Did some work in the garden yesterday (get myself all upset but can't not do it). My white garden is looking lovely compared to last year and the front bed that was missing some colour last year looks lovely with the Geum I bought at BL's and a Lilly I put in. Middle bed has gone mad, the Rudbeckia I got from BL's is too tall to even get in the photo. image

    Morning!

another lovely day - we had a bit of rain last night & it feels much fresher today. Might get a few jobs done ...

Glad to hear Runny is ok - I do hope she will come back soon.

Good to see you DD - your garden is looking beautiful. I know you have your hands full at the moment but can you start saving seeds / taking cuttings / divisions of some favourite plants so you can take a bit of your old garden with you?

Hello too to anyone else popping in. image

Lovely DD, but remember you created this garden so you can create another, hugs for you and Charlie.

Looks like another hot and sunny day here.  Slept really well last night, in fact I'm finding it hard to wake up properly.  Absolutely no plans today so I will potter in the garden and perhaps do a bit of tidying in the house when it's too hot to be in the garden.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all.

DD I can let you have more plants for your new garden. That Rudbeckia can be cut in half the end of May (Chelsea Chop) to keep it's height down.

This afternoon I'm going to a gardener's club show - as a Judge! They asked me when I went and gave them a talk about creating an English garden in SW France.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
