Dewdrops, I hope your hubby isn't one of the ones I frequently swear at on the Loch Lomond road ? Birthday happening here tomorrow too - if I make a big enough cake, there might be enough for you and OH too - save you the bother.
Young fairy has gone very upmarket in her cake request this year - lemon sponge with white chocolate ganache and raspberries... delusions of grandeur!
It'll be easier than the Lord of the Rings cake from a few years ago though!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fairygirl, he is a very sensible rider, no weaving, speeding etc- if he weren't sensible I'd be making sure our bikes were gone (yes, bikes, there are 3 of them!). Thank you, on husbands behalf, for the birthday wishes- I'm sure he will enjoy it. Will make sure I save cake for forkers too!
we have loads of bikers using our roads. I find them all to be sensible and courteous. More than can be said of the cyclists! They are noisy demanding st the local cafe and thro their rubbish in our garden They take up the whole road often riding 3/4 abreast. I phone the police and they do nothing! Appears they are the new precious with roads fitted with cycle lanes which they dont use!!!!!! B.....s

LP, there are certain roads round here which are monopolised by cyclists, on a Sunday, spread out to the middle of the road. They seem to be oblivious to the build up of traffic. On the other hand, if only one or two of them, they will stop to let the traffic past.
Seems as though everyone's had a busy day - whether watching tennis or in the garden. I've spent most of it on my knees in the breakfast bit of the kitchen laying carpet tiles. I now have very red knees, a very sore back and the offer of a bottle of beer from my son who said 'well done, you've worked hard'. He must have felt guilty because I asked him to move the chairs back and he forgot because there was so much sport on TV. OH said he's available to help on Tuesday. No bowling then.
I love that cake Fairy. Please send a pic of the new one - I'm so tempted.
Happy birthday to Fairylet and dewdrops OH. Hope Lily had a great day with Poppet

LP - I have to agree with you about many cyclists
Since you've offered a good 'lead in' with your 'precious' comment, here's fairylet's cake from two years ago!

Pat, do they use an abacus to count the votes?
Evening all. Did I post here already? I can't remember. Shattered from the scouts camp and medicating with cider.
But I'm rather sad by the fact that I haven't another camp til September!!
Still; maybe I'll get some time off to sort the garden out.
