Have been out pottering and potting on but suddenly, large drops of rain out of a clear blue sky! Grabbed the nearly dry washing off the airer on the terrace and have come in for a cuppasoup and a bit of Guilty Pleasure (Judge Judy) It won't be for long 'cos I need to go back out there as soon as the big ploppy stuff stops - must hoe and thin the spinach beet seedlings
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Joyce - I've done 'stuff' because the forecast for tomorrow was ok-ish
I'll just head up to Rest and be Thankful/Butterbridge to do a Corbett there. There's three there I've still to do. Rain's to come in tomorrow afternoon.
Did a lot of grafting - pulling a pallet apart . There was quite a lot of swearing I'm afraid...
It was solid...and big...
Worth doing I suppose - it's forming part of the new side fence where the gate is being relocated. Painted some bits as well, and then picked some sweet peas and took a couple of photos.
Nice dinner of salmon and veg then some strawbs from the garden, blueberries (not from the garden) and cream. I deserved it...have to maintain my stamina after all...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
T'bird - I meant to let you know that there was an episode of The Adventure Show on the other night. Cameron McNeish was walking east to west from Aberdeen, doing the most easterly Munro (Mount Keen) and finishing with the most westerly on the mainland( Ladhar Bheinn). Great photography. It was probably only on up here, but you might be able to download.
I know we moan about the rain here, but that watering lark would drive me nuts! I had to water a lot during the dry spring, and a few plants got forgotten about because it's just not something I normally have to do at that time of year

Managed to get the grass cut and faff around with pots and the little tables and chairs.
Got the washing in just in time here too Dove.........it's absolutely chucking it down now.
At least I won't have to water tonight.
Stopped for lunch.
I'd hoped to get some cannas dug from tunnel and transferred into the garden, but it was 42C in there, so gave up.
Much dark cloud rolling about and it's cooled down so maybe after a bit of lunch??

That's my girl Fairy
Wish we could get some 'nice' rain here too - watering costs me a fortune in both water (Anglian Water metered) and time (self / boredom-metered)
