Right ... I'm back ... where do you want them Fairy?
While I was at Homebase I just popped into the plant centre and came across a lovely young couple just starting out in gardening - they were very pleased to have found some plugs of dianthus (Sweet William type) with a label that said they flowered 'all year' Being me I just had to introduce myself and explain that they will not bloom through the winter months ... what on earth are Homebase thinking of ? Suggested they go online on GW forum if they have any queries ... wonder if they will ... they said they would
At last we've got the 'Garden Shades' for the seats and shed etc - the fence is already Seagrass - the seats and shed are going to be Beach Blue with Pale Jasmine touches.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hosta ... he probably has an ulterior purpose for that specific type of bag ... one can only hazard a guess at what that may be ... perhaps they're particularly well suited to suffocating one's partner in their sleep ... perhaps you'd better alert the police to your concerns ... a quick visit by the local constable might prevent a nasty crime and in any event would put your mind at rest ... and teach him a lesson
Oh, did someone say something about wasting police time ...

Everyone, without exception, no matter what their chosen career, should be made to work in a shop for a year after leaving full time education.
It would wind their necks in and the folk who do it for a living wouldn't have to deal with so much kaak!
My friend's daughter had her wrist broken at the returns desk of a well known DIY outlet by a bad tempered ****** who slammed a box of plaster coving down on it! WHY? Because he could! She was an 18 yr old school girl working week ends.

Sounds lovely, Dove. Will we get a photo?
home for lunch after the grumpiest customer imaginable.
" can I have 2 x 5p bags " ( no please )
" these " bags for life " bags are 5p today Sir"
"No, I want the 5p bags"
" these are 5p too"
" NO, I want THOSE bags"
Why do I bother???
Gave him the sh*tty cheap bags. Hope they split on the way home.
Hope he shops at Asda next time.
There's no pleasing some folk Hosta.
Probably ... eventually ...

a colleague politely asked a customer to enter her PIN for a credit card.
" don't insult my intelligence" was the reply.
I suggested she should have countered with
" I can't insult it if I can't find it! "
maybe not?
OH knows several of his customers' PIN numers ... they say them out loud as they enter them

I had a customer who had all her PINs written on a piece of paper behind the little "window" where you'd have a photo.
"please tell me that's not what I think it is"
" erm, yes,
"
