Good morning all image  G'day Pat  image

It's a beautiful morning here in Norfolk ... 20C in the shade and there's a song thrush singing out there - a bit earlier on I heard a mistle thrush.  The goldfinches and greenfinches are busy emptying the feeders - think it's been a good breeding season for them, lots of juveniles around - we're filling the feeders every day.

The garden is looking gorgeous (sunshine always helps doesn't it) and we now have firm plans, rather than hazy ideas for our sunny corner ...... we're not used to gardening in sunshine, having had shady gardens for the last 20 years, but the recent holiday in Cornwall has given us ideas imageimage

I do hope Pdoc and Mrs P are ok and able to enjoy their lovely garden in the sunshine ... thinking about them a lot ((hugs))

Clari, take care of that cold image

Dove; I've drowned myself in orange juice and lemsip this morning.

Boss is always unwell so is taking today off so... horrors... I'm now in charge! But worse than that we have no freezer to put ice cream in! Noooooo....

That big ball in the sun is awfully hot.

Morning all/afties Pat. Hope you're feeling good and not too chilly image

Still no sun here - just rain   image supposed to clear later....image

I see we now have a new type of freeloading parasite, as Hosta calls them - just asking for money directly. You have to admire their sheer brass neck...

Work for me and taking daughter to work too so I'll catch up later

Have a good day everyone image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Morning! 18° and sunny here already, should get up to 27° apparently. Think I'll have to get as much done as early on as possible!

    Morning all.

Glorious sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, not a breath of wind ( almost unheard of here ) and I've got every window in the house open.

Hazel, might the hosta dried out towards the end of last summer? That might stop them forming flower buds( it does it for agapanthus,) I'm just guessing though.

Fiarygirl, I'm sure we've all known guys we'd love to introduce to  Dickie Chopping.

Right, experiment time. As it's forecast to be 27C today, I'm going to set the mower blades down a notch or two, but  with no deflector plate on the back and just let it blow everywhere and let the sun dry it out. Next time, I'll have the collector on and it should be easy to keep it to the new level.

    Devon.
