Thanks for the info, BL.  It's interesting to see the difference in gardening styles in different countries.  We stayed with friends in Finland, where their gardens seemed to be largely un-fenced, with lots of fruit bushes and trees, and the garden merging with the surrounding woodland.  And in western Ireland most of the gardens seem to be almost exclusively grass, with conifers planted as windbreaks.  (Space for the kids to practise hurling and Gaelic football, perhaps.)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hello again everyone. Watching cycling again, but slipped in here to catch up.

Hazel, my birthday was 22 June, it's our daughters today 5 July, and I believe she has gone out to dinner with a special friend and our son (her brother), so I hope they have a good night. That's the trouble with not living in the same town/city. However, she was given an early present (an iPD) which she is totally wrapped in. We do have another gift for her, but she'll come down here for Hubby's birthday on 11 July, so she'll get it then.  All organised.image

Well that was my last school visiting the museum for the school year. Tomorrow I shall be deep cleaning everything!

Not all elbow grease Joyce. I'm considering painting the walls to freshen things up as my visitors have managed to damage the walls (how??)

All of my handling exhibits get regular cleaning and maintenance but they will benefit from some more thorough care to preserve them. (For such small hands thry can be amazingly undelicate).

I'm not looking forward to scrubbing the 60 chairs though. Still it'll be welcome relief from the uniforms I need to hand wash.
