Always useful having a Handy Andy around the place Dew Dropsimage

We've done about half the hedge - the worse half - and are now watching the GP. Far too hot for anymore heavy work today - we'll finish it tomorrow. I was the same colour as the beetroot I picked yesterday by the time we decided to call it a day - nice image

Will need to do a lot of watering later on  - wish we could have some decent rain.

You can have mine T'bird - we've had enough of it now  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Just started here. I was so tempted to weedkill the paths earlier but I heeded the forecast and I'm glad I did. Nice soft wet stuff so far. Better than the stair rods we had last week!

Afternoon all! Gardening has been abandoned due to extreme heat! Did the much needed watering and left it at that.

Fairy please can I have some of your rain? Don't have an out side tap, water butt is empty and have resorted to filling it by dangling shower hose from bathroom window again! image

Looking forward to seeing summer house Dewdrops!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

Bigger water butt if you can't get an outside tap installed?   I have two on the shed round by the greenhouse so I don't have to trail a hose round but then I do have to wander back and forth with a watering can.......

I am enjoying my Sunday thanks but it's hard work and I'm proper mucky now.   Been sorting stuff in the attic and garage, fixing an old cane sofa we're taking to the new house along with some bed frames, mattresses, table, chairs, small fridge and basic kitchen stuff for the new house so we can camp for a few days and get painting done ahead of the final move.

I shall not be coming back to see this garden after I've gone.    New chappy was here with his FIL the other day measuring up to put some security bars on the barn doors and was worried my splendid Kiftsgate rose which is doing a good job now of covering the front of the house might be invasive cos he's had bother with a Virginia creeper on another house.   Couldn't tell it was a rose...............  so I'm taking cuttings and divisions and seeds and a few whole plants as the rules are different here and never looking back when we go.

Obelixx, not mentioning any names but a certain cooing type bird is supposed to be flying over this way and delivering an unwanted waterbutt of hers imageimage so that should help things, but last time she came she brought lovely plants from visiting lovely Hosta, thanks again Hosta! image

Don't blame you at all for digging a few things up for your move! Don't think I'd leave them anything if it wasn't going to be appreciated and cared for!

Made it too the shops, somebody put some crusty rolls and Roule cheese in my basket, along with two cheesy twists! image but somehow they seem to have disappeared now! imageimage

Great to get an extra butt from ma.

Not only do I suspect they do not know which way is up but they a) plan to bring hens and get more and b) think they can manage without Marie-Christine who comes for 5 hours every other Tuesday and is an absolute treasure.   Both work and they have 4 kids and OH and I spend far more than 2 days a week out there and it's far from perfect.

I have just spent an hour just spraying the dreaded glyphosate on the bind weed ridden bed and the weeds in the old cobbled road.

Obelixx, you've mentioned a few times about leaving your garden, but I must have missed where you're going and when. don't mean to pry if you haven't said, but just curious.image

i keep getting your posts mixed up (in my mind) with DD.
