    Morning all.

Sunny and cool so far here image Going to spend the day spraying weedkiller. There hasn't been a long enough dry spell for months and the gravel looks like a field!

If that gets finished I'll stack my logs and if that gets finished I might cut the front grass. I need to do some deadheading too but everything is a big wet mess full of earrywigs. image I wouldn't mind if they didn't creep up the back of my arm!!

So Hazel I was thinking about your thread a while ago. The presenter on 5 live was talking about things esculating. This has been creeping in at the same rate as nucular. It has to stop!!! Please make it stop. image

If you read back FG I too chatted to a nice man in the GC. image Nice men are nice. There should be more of them about the place. image

Joyce, you can peg them out on my line ... I've got two and I've only got a couple of pairs of jeans and some socks and undies to go out ... just hold on a minute while I finish cutting the back lawn (I've done the front) ...... there's a nice stiff breeze here so even towels won't take long ... image

    Morning all!

Wow, frost in July... none of that here, just drizzle (again).  But we are promised better things later on, and a nice weekend.  image

You're all doing such exciting things today!  I must admit I've never dehydrated anything, let alone bull's bits.  Sooner you than me, Clari image

I'm off to order some roofing felt for the shed.

    Bye for now...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all.

I actually enjoyed watching Monty making Pesto, never seen it done before, I normally buy jars of it. I have lots of basil.

My OH is a nice man. He does washing up, vacuuming and lawn mowing.

We went to a concert last night, a bass/baritone singing and piano. It was in a village church and surprisingly good. The chap had an amazing voice.

He was a very, very nice young man Pp ...I'm starting to sound like those two characters Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke used to do...image

You could forget the weedkiller and have a meadow instead - it seems to be the 'in thing' nowadays. image

I'm about to put a wash out too Joyce - room on mine if you need it. Ruddy workmen - don't they realise we have smalls to hang out....image

and as if anyone takes any notice of white lines on roads anyway...image

T'bird - glad you noticed my post re the prog. I haven't really seen them yet either, apart from the little bit I caught. I don't know where all these nice young chaps keep coming from image ..and why wasn't there one of 'em about when I was younger?  image

Hosta - I watched GW as well and wondered if I'd stumbled on yet another cookery show by mistake image

This chap got very annoyed at me pursuing him for a photo yesterday (no, not that chap..) Do you think it's because he's a 'grouse'...

I thank you ...(bows gracefully and retreats....)

    image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Clari I put a story on here last year about the bull who took a stroll past my house. All I'll say is you're going to need quite a big knife! image image

Talking about strolling, a young lady just walked past my house. That doesn't sound like much but considering where I live my question is "where the heck from?" image

FG did you offer him battenburg cake? image

Fg - there weren't any 'nice young men' around when I was younger either ............ but I found one later on ...... there's a lot to be said for having one of those image

GW (paper) magazine has cookery bits, showing you what to do with what you grow ... and we talk about cake so often, and now we've got a recipe thread - they probably think there's a demand for it ... and of course the GB Allotment  programme was about cooking as well as growing - do you think Monty will show us how to make raspberry vodka? image  after all, we know he likes a tipple image image

Back lawn mowed now and mower put away ... just going to strim the edges ....... when I've had a coffee ......
