By the time I'd done all that and a bit of general tidying I decided that I needed to do some knitting on the sofa ... think I'm missing Wimbledon image  Roll on Olympics image

Liri, York Gate is lovely and is owned by the gardeners' charity Perennial.

We visited it years ago when my daughter was "doing a recky" at York uni.

Topbird, YES the "garden gets terrifying at this time of year" so much so that I sat in the sun and thought about all the work that had to be done  image   Well it was the first warm, sunny day since. . . .?.

Evening all. Taken me ages to read back and now I've forgotten most of it image

Hosta - I can really sympathise. Why do people think it's ok to take no responsibility whatsoever  for the animals they decide to have?  image

A well aimed hosepipe might do a better job....image

But it's not your job to deal with it. If they can't be there, they need to employ someone to do it....or don't have a r***y dog in the first place.

Been outside enjoying a bit of welcome warmth..removing a fence for relocation....image

Daughter made spag bol for dinner Lovely jubbly  image   I'm contemplating going out to do a bit more now that I've had it. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Evening all.

It was so nice to get some sun today! I only managed a brief potter around the garden at lunch time, but it felt so good!

RB, enjoy your visit to the gardens. I've only ever gone during the Spring, really need to get down there in the Summer. I also keep meaning to try Winterborne next door.

Currently having rest enforced on me by a cat that has fallen asleep on my lap.

    Evening all.

I've just posted some photos of my trip to York Gate yesterday, on a new thread.  image

    Now it's bed time...  image

    Night night!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
