Pp - my Dad was a bit like that with my Mum. Covered stuff up. What can you do?  image

Joyce - it's a great motto right enough. Difficult when you're 'in the midst' though image

Hopefully some of us can keep your spirits up a little. I'm going to send you a little PM of something I've done for someone else. It might make you smile image

Weather's hit and miss, as you say, but I've put washing out...and done some deadheading. Trying to avoid filling holes, sanding other diy jobs, cleaning, hoovering.....sigh. Who'd be a wumman  image

Dove - your slatternly ways are rubbing off on me - this 'good sleeping' malarkey is no usel!  image

We got a knock on the door this morning at 10.30 and I was still asleep and Hubby by was reading. image. Well we did watch the cycling until about 2am or so and then I couldn't nod off for a while, so that's my excuse.  Besides its was minus 8 this morning so why bother getting up.

  • Afternoon!

It has gone hot, hasn't it RB?! Didn't look so promlosing this morning.

I've done a few hours h*******k, been for a walk with my parents and pottered around the garden for a couple of hours. My husband is due home from a 12 day motorbike tour, and should be back in the next few hours. Can't wait to have him home!

Lantana, my thoughts are very much with you.  Medication was effective for the first few years in slowing the progress but the decline is becoming fairly rapid. Explains why I'm happy when football, tennis and snooker are on.  I record football matches and put one on when I want to garden. I do  remain positive but have the occasional "off" day but who doesn't .

    Enjoyed the marathon 5th setimage

  • Hazel, he normally does a motorbike tour once or twice a year, I don't mind. There's nothing stopping me from going, other than managing the business, I quite enjoy riding pillion! It is his birthday tomorrow too, will make him a cake, not something I do too often these days!

Enjoy your roasters RB.  Have had gammon, rice and salad today but need something sweet nowimage might have to pop to Tesco Express.

Accompanied my friend to Merry Hill today, she has damaged her knee in a fall and isn't very confident getting about yet.  Didn't buy anything though.

Came back and spent time in the garden cutting back lupins etc and edging the lawn.  A few holes opening up in the borders so will have to do a bit of infilling in the next week or so.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

I've just come in from a fruitful few hours in the garden, switched on to see a bit of tennis, and changed over to the news as it was pretty much over.

Whatever c**p we think we have going on in our country or in our lives, count your blessings you don't live in b****y Baghdad right  now... image
