Morning all! I've had a terrible nights sleep, one of those where you never seem to get past the half awake/asleep stage.
I'm taking mum out to a market this morning, should be great as it is marking the start of a local town festival. I'm hoping I might even pick some plants up!
Sun is shining so far, so fingers crossed it stays that way.
Blue skies and sunshine here. More shredding to do. I'm murdering a Buddleja alternifolia behind the pond. That should make some space to put in some of the excess plants I've got.
Then I have to sow some more seeds for salad leaves, then weigh the sofa down, watching tennis with a nice glass of something cold and refreshing.
Sunshine here today as well and bearable temperature. I even did some gardening. (Amazing). I've been so lazy the last few weeks that I've hardly ventured out to the cold windy garden, but today, no wind, yay!!
Hello everyone.
It has been voting day today, so the tele will be full of it I suppose. Hoping my choice wins, but not much we can do about it.
Pat, hope you get what you want with your voting and that it doesn't cause as much uproar as ours did!
I think you've sent your wind round to us as it's very 'breezy' here again today. Still, at least it's not raining...... , so out to catch up with the gardening
Dry so far and a few blue bits after more torrential wet stuff last night. I'm not sowing or planting any more veggies this year. The slugs have had 90% of them and the cold and wet means the courgette and squashes are just sitting there doing nothing. Two flowers so far and no fruits.
I shall take runners of my strawberries to grow above ground for a decent crop next year. Both kinds have produced loads of fruit this year but so soggy and chewed, despite a bark mulch.
Funnily enough I have seen hardly anything about the Oz elections on the news. Wonder why that is!
I don't watch tennis or football but well done Wales.

Hmmm, things are conspiring against me ... I ordered a new i***ing board cover yesterday on the understanding it wouldn't be delivered until next week ......... Amazon have just said it's coming today!!! Does that mean I've got to try it out today !!!
I was planning to help Fidget weigh the sofa down this afternoon ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all/afties Pat. As Marygold says, hope your election causes less stress than the one we had. Wouldn't be hard!
Don't have any interest in footie either obelixx but how refreshing to see a UK team showing how to succeed and their fans showing how to behave. Dragons in their hearts indeed!
I'm quite glad the weather's a bit rubbishy here - no guilt in watching the tennis later...
Is it wrong that I'm hoping the American lad carries on the way he started?....
Did anyone else see the tribute to the men at the Somme with the 20,000 volunteers dressed as soldiers in several UK cities? How incredibly moving. Brings home the sacrifices made in the name of freedom. Hope the politicians are ashamed of the way they've been behaving 100 years on....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
