Morning all,  Another early Nanna Day today. 50mile round trip just to drop them off at school and nursery.  I'm sure my mum wouldn't have done this for me.  Last time I'll see them before they go on hols for a month so musn't complain.

Sorry RB has had to sign off for a while, she'll be missed.  Hope she comes back soon.  Don't like all these disappearances.

Lovely in the garden at the moment, just done a bit of deadheading before heading off.  Hot one last night but we are lucky.  A few years ago we bought a portable air con unit when it was on offer.  Don't use it very often but last night it was a god send even if it is a bit noisy.

Off to Wightwick Manor with friend later to check out the gardens.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Yes thanks Hazel. We're just back and have unloaded the groceries and made a cuppa.  Temp is dropping and Hubby has stirred up the fire so the living area will be bearable soon.

Re. The hot nights, we invested in a reverse cycle air conditioner in our bedroom a couple of years ago for the same reason - hot sleepless nights. It's a godsend. One of the problems in summer is that if we open the windows at night we get these little midge-like insects coming in through the fly screens and they drive you crazy when reading in bed.they are smaller than mosquitoes so can get through but they nip just the same.

very dark grey out at 3.35pm and temp dropping, so I think the predicted rain might arrive soon. Greenhouse closed up, so no need to go out again, thank goodness.image

hope you all have a good summers day.

We have a full moon predicted for tonight, but I don't think we will see it with all the clouds.

Just googled Wightwick Manor .....looks lovelyimage  Hope you take some pics for us.  My Mum helped out a lot when the chicklets were little - she was the best Mum in the worldimage, and the Chicklets had a very close bond with her as a result.  Enjoy your last day with them before the hols.

Slept with all our windows wide open, and it was actually ok.  About to go open all the GH vents - the tomatoes are loving this weatherimage

Have a good day one and allimageimageimage
