I cannot and never could stand  Blair. To me he always came over as insincere and a liar. I didn't trust him at all. How he got voted in twice is beyond me. His way of talking, pausing and then talking again struck me that he was listening to someone speaking into an earpiece and then he was regurgitating it. He would have been far better off on the stage, though not financially of course. He probably wouldn't have accumulated 20 millions worth of property.

Remind me again... isn't he the only Prime Minister never to have been Knighted or made a Lord when he left Parliament. ?

I've sown clematis seeds, potted up my rooted penstemon cuttings, and picked a bowl of raspberries. Ladies semi finals today.. I need to get myself comfy on the sofa.

Pimms is £10 a litre at Morrisons if anybody likes it.

I found two copulating snails joined together , half way up the greenhouse glass. I put them in the middle of the lawn for the Thrush. We have some very tatty looking birds at the moment, I guess they're moulting.

    Morning all, hi Patimage

Congratulations to your son-in-law Liri - that's quite an achievement.  He must be bonkers thoughimage.

Hope all the girls going to garden visit have a great time and the sun stays out.  Also hope your head improves Wonky.

Pat at least you have managed to get something on the screen and been able to send itimage.  Now you have to print it out and stick it on the fridgeimage.

Also agree with those mentioning Robin Cook and Charles Kennedy.   We were on holiday with eldest son when it was Robin Cook's funeral and he wouldn't come out of his room till he had watched it allimage.

Hugs DD - remember to fit in a little relaxation too.

Have a great day Forkers out to play.

Well done Wales and their supporters.   Heads high all round.

Chilcot took his time but it seems he's been very thorough - so no room for criticism and wriggle from those found wanting.  Very damning about Blair, his cohorts, his cronies and the armed services' top "management" failures.   It is not exactly news that Blair put spin on info to suit his purposes or that sending troops into battle with inadequate equipment leads to unnecessary death and injury so why do they keep doing it?

DD - you are exhausting.  Make sure you keep some energy in reserve for you and Charlie and your new future.   Good advice about putting stuff aside somewhere safe so you don't lose it or forget it.

No rain today but, after a busy morning taking all 3 critters to the vet for their annual jabs and check up plus worming, flea and tick treatment, I have to tackle our attic.   Need to remove and replace wet insulation after roof tile were blown of in one of our wetter gales.........

I'm surprised you got through to anyone at HMRC/Inland Revenue GWRS, another part of The Government that isn't fit for purpose image

Slightly concerned about ppauper's 'buns' activity...or have I picked her up wrong?  image image

Hosta - don't be silly. Politicians having sensible, 'normal' discussions....are you mad? image

They get further and further removed from reality as the years go by, I reckon.

Decent day here but I'm at work. Well I'm having lunch just now. Picked some ripe strawbs. Magpies can't get 'em but the damn slugs are..grrr..  image

Looking forward to the Forker pix. Hope Dove wasn't by her lonesome too long...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
