dew drops. I'm very jealous of your return to Cambodia. We loved it there. One of my favourite places we've ever visited and such lovely people, and fabulous food.
I think some of you ladies have missed a trick on the ironing front. When OH and I first got together over 30 years ago we both worked long hours (software development) so, since he was already used to ironing his own shirts for work I said that if he wanted to hog the TV watching sport he had to do the ironing at the same time. He still does it - very useful habit now there's so much golf/football/rubgy/cricket/whatever on TV. I think the only sport he doesn't watch is synchronised swimming.
Now he's retired he also does most of the vacuum cleaning because he chose the bloody Dyson!
Loved the ghost soldier tribute and yes, it does put into perspective the recent behaviour of both citizens and politicians. Don't think it'll change much though. Short memories. Short vision.
I now have bright sunshine and blue bits to the front of the house and a whopping great black thing at the back.

Even better Hosta - there's a wumman on the breakfast news just now who's a 'happiness and resilience' expert. I kid you not.
The world's gone mad....
2.9 billion's pretty good though
Come on folks - let's get it up to 3!
Superb Ppauper!

My Hubby actually loves ironing. He even irons his face flannel.
Just done my bit for the Gove slapping slapometer
. Helped my "happiness and resilience" no end, and came without an invoice
tee hee Chicky. It's just started my day off a treat.
Fairy - philadelphus is "virginal" ......scent is to die for, and pretty flowers too
They might be 'common' shrubs chicky, but they're common for a good reason
obelixx - I know - you're right. Short sighted, self serving t*****s, the whole lot of them
Do I sound jaded and cynical?
Hosta - I thought you were going to say he ironed his face....
Might try it if it gets rid of the wrinkles....
My mum ironed everything too - towels, socks, pants - the lot!
