Morning all, on phone so limited posting capability, Chicky, have a lovely time looking round the garden, you deserve a nice day!
Dove, please send love to Gma and travel safe x
Good to see you LillYP
Just invested in a new plastic green house, lidl bargain, much better than Argos, get them while they are hot! Much more sturdy, wish me luck putting it up tonight! I will supply pictures, but so far I'm impressed, window vent , clipping up door more shelves than Argos also, ipswich sold out had to go to felixstoe, will give further review when it's wrestled in place!
Afternoon all. It sounds as if your weather is improving if you're mowing lawns and buying greenhouses.
Hello Hosa, Lilyp and Lesley. You're right that we never get tired of looking out the windows here. I dread the thought that we might have to move away one day as we get older. Hopefully it won't happen, but we saw our next door neighbours have to move into town and sell their farm some years ago.
Afternoon all. It's been a grey funny day; it feels as though the moment you turn your back it'll rain. Such a shame that I wasn't in yesterday to make the most of the glorious sunshine I am fed up of drying clothes on the radiators all the while!
Wonky - that sounds exciting - looking forward to the pics
Ma slept most of the time I was there, occasionally opening her eyes and looking at me - I would say hello and smile and she'd smile back and close her eyes again. After a couple of hours or so (I had my knitting with me and Classic FM quietly in the room so it was quite relaxing really) she became a bit restless and started fidgeting for a while then dozing off again. Then staff came in to freshen her up and make sure that she was comfortable, and she woke properly and started chatting to them. It's lovely to see the good relationship she has with them.
Bro is visiting her tomorrow and will then be heading to northern Scotland for 10 days with his daughter her hub and their little ones, to visit her husband's grandparents. Bro asked if he should cancel it, but I've told him to go ahead - you can't put your life on hold just waiting ... we might still be waiting when we're due to go to Cornwall ... unlikely ... but as my GP said, my parents are made of tough stuff
Hosta - I've just heard from a friend on the foodie forum - she gave up the booze a while back for health reasons and she's having real problems getting to sleep and then even more problems staying asleep. It seems like a common problem. Glad it's improving for you ((hugs)).

Glad to hear your Ma is still smiling Dove - makes all the difference if you know she is calm and comfortable. Hope you are bearing up too.
Had a lovely day (apart from the saying goodbye to Chicklet bit). Waterperry is magical ....will put pics on the garden visiting thread, if I can find it, but highlights were the frit meadow amd pulsatillas below

Lovely Chicky
If anyone wants to see our native Pasque flowers in the wild this is the place
http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20140711133551/http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/Images/barnack-leaflet_tcm6-36336.pdf
one of the most special places I've ever been - Pasque flowers, orchids, broomrapes, fireflies and nightingales - and more besides.
Hope to go there again soon.

First fledgling today. A blackbird, still with yellow gape, being fed by his dad.
Mr Mallard was here at 6 am, but no lady friend. maybe she is sitting on eggs.
The squirrel has left the camellia alone this year, taking a fancy to magnolia buds instead.
Has anyone found Marion yet?
