Morning all/afties Pat. Still raining here - think the birds are staying in bed but I might be able to tempt them with a little leftover pastry from older fairylet's lemon meringue pie she made yesterday. She made a tiny one for me to taste test
i'd take a sleeping bag never mind blankets clari Hope you're feeling well enough for all that malarkey.
I've got very few windowsills too chicky - I can't afford to get carried away. The sweet peas are in the growhouse to give them a few weeks of weather protection until they sprout and get a bit of growth. Sowing direct in April doesn't pay off really weather wise, so it gives them a head start.
Off to work soon too so have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Chicky, yes you did 'see' me but I couldn't let Wonky's birthday go by without a mention. My Dad is now at home, after a couple of hiccups, and managing on his crutches and zimmer. I'm now at home after three weeks away but zonked out on antibiotics and painkillers - didn't want to sound drunk. Others have far more to worry them atm and my thoughts go out to them.
Nice to 'meet' you SolentWind. I hope that your quote is a manageable one and that there is none of that sucking air in through teeth. Maybe that's just reserved for builders and mechanics.
Fairygirl: my sleeping bag is already there! I have to survive a scout camp at the museum this weekend so these drugs had better hurry up and settle things down.
As for hot water bottle Dove... you've heard how cold the place is! (Think Victorian building where when the heating systems were ripped out in the 60s no one put anything else back in. We've some beautiful radiators but they're not connected to anything! Of course being closed to public means the only heater we'll be allowed on its the one in the bosses office. Have to save money any way we can!)
Hosta: no doing too much and buttering things up before the surgery!

Expecting plant order later in the week, so need to plant out some of the stuff in the greenhouse.
