    Hi Fairygirl and Dove.

I had to laugh at your mental slip Fairy. I'm nearly finished the drying now, but there is still lots of parsley out in the garden, so I'll have to catch as much as I can before the cold weather sends them all to sleep.

Dove. As if you need more worries at this time - what a Good Samaritan you are. Best wishes to you and Wonky and others in the family.

Hubby is still not home from his day in town at the fire brigade headquarters. It's a long day for them being taught various rules and regs as well as practical stuff.

I managed to gets two loads of washing in and out today. I'll have to think about starting cooking dinner soon. He'll be hungry when he gets home I suppose.

best wishes to all for the rest of your day.image

Hi Lesley and KEF, you posted while I was typing.

Lesley, yes one of the babies turned up at the usual carrot feeding area while son's cats were here and they had a lovely time swishing their tails and wanting to get outside. Hard luck to them -  they were only allowed outside first thing in the morning when it's too cold for the skinks to appear. I had to laugh when I saw the younger cat trying to get her paw under the furniture where the skinks usually hide between nibbles of carrot. As if they would poke their heads out when a large white paw was waving around under there. Not that they would have been there at that time of day anyway. I think they must have a burrow under one of the Grevilleas, because that's where they appear from.

Hi everyone, happy St George's Day and happy birthday to William.

Sun's coming out here (W Flanders) after light rain - time to get weaving out there.  OH just appeared briefly & now gone back to bed.

Morning allimage  just off for a bit of mane taming, and need to pop in to the GC on the wayimage

Not sure about a week of rain in the forecast here, more like a week of frosts (although we seem to have escaped this morning).  No matter, the last lot of seedlings are getting pricked out today regardless, will just have to fleece them overnight.  Other task for the weekend is go round and give everything a new feed, and pot up a new planter of sempervirumsimage. And plant out a few other things that have been growing on over the winter too.  I have a whole crop of Kefidget delphiniums to go out thereimage

  • Good morning all, grey and drizzly here again. image

    Morning all.
A big thank you DD, but I don't know how you will have time to weed my garden with all you have to do at your place. I'll be in touch.

Going to a St. George's Day lunch today. Good opportunity to publicise Open Gardens.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
