You sound much better Wonks. Cheeky swan...and a dunker as well...what's the world coming to....
Weather forecast right up to last night was better for tomorrow than today, so made my decision to walk tomorrow instead. It's all changed overnight. Trying to decide if it's worth heading off now.
What a pain re the ticket David - especially after your heroic efforts. Mine stayed on my licence for four years I think. Is it £100 pounds now?
Quick look round while I decide what to do. Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lovely pic Wonks, loads of detail, all those birds in the sky, daisys etc.
David, sorry to hear about fine........ £100 oh heck. But as Fairy says, well done with heroics.
Wow Hosta, 2 stone, you've done really well and so quick too. Will be good for your knees. Just incase, hope all goes well with your op. Best wishes for a speedy recovery xx
Dove, hope ma is well when you visit ......is it today or tomorrow.
Off to see family this afternoon, bil, sil, nephews, sons, dils and poppet
"What a pain re the ticket David - especially after your heroic efforts. Mine stayed on my licence for four years I think. Is it £100 pounds now?"
Thank you, Fairy......... yes, it was £100. I felt I had touched both ends of the spectrum yesterday i.e. being told by the establishment on the one hand I was a danger to the public and on the other proving to myself that the necessary skill & reactions are still there when needed, hopefully not too often.
Re the runaway pram, it's amazing how quick these things happen.....not much more than 10 seconds between the pram leaving the pavement and the mother retrieving it, I would guess.
I won't forget the look of horror on the mother's face for a little while.
Afternoon - dull and rainy here so hwk for me today - then I can move into the garden tomorrow with a clear conscience
Well done on saving the baby David - shakes you up a bit though doesn't it?
Re the speeding ticket - I did a Speed Awareness course to avoid penalty points on a previously clean licence and increased premiums on both my and OH's car insurance. Decided to make it an opportunity to learn something. Did lots of homework beforehand (not obligatory) and spent hours doing the online Theory & Hazard Perception tests that are now part of the driving test. Can recommend the online stuff to anyone as a way of brushing up on your Highway Code and road skills. I learned new stuff - and relearned things I had forgotten.
Nice photo Wonky. You clearly love the work you do with the family you're with for 3 days. What do you do on the other 2 days (if you don't mind me asking) - any prospect of changing them so you're doing more of the type of caring you enjoy?
Enjoy the party Runny - that'll wake you up if nothing else does
Hope Fairy gets to walk at some stage this weekend.
Enjoy whatever you're doing folks - SYL
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Morning all.
heavy overnight rain, sunny but cold now.
Did SM early, I do like being first one in, no idiots clogging up the aisles.
Ground too wet to garden, so a little bit of internet shopping, for those plants I don't need, don't have room for, but must have.
Have a lovely day all.
If I forget Hosta, hope all goes well on Monday.
Dove, hope Ma is ok.
Lynn, hope you get some rest, and that your dad is comfortable.
When you don't even know who's in the team
