re " moving plants". If you look at the first photo, you'll see it's gradually being hidden under 2 large conifers, which is part of the reason I want it moved.
I also want it to close the view from the path leading from the terrace steps to the path by the pond. Neither the paths , nor the pond are on the cards for moving.
It's going to be moved, some how , some day. ( little West Side Story moment just then )
Lizzie & Dove it's been chilly here now it is cold ! I've put the heating on. Rain at first and then drizzle on and off.
Hoping it's no worse tomorrow as we have a team at mum's house reducing 6 Conifers by 2/3 rds. I know it as bit late re: birds and nesting but this is the first date we could have and they need doing. Mum has loads of other conifers, bushes & trees ..so soz birdies
Hosta, when you've worked out how to move yours (safely and successfully) let me know because I have the same problem, although my rock is about 25 metres in the wrong place.

is it a wet day in the UK? 4 pages since I said good morning!
Was very cold here, saw DD scraped ice off her car. Mine was in the garage so I didn't have to, but I was glad I'd put the GH heater on.
Sunny and has warmed up a bit so out to do weeding.
I sent you a PM too, punkdoc, but it wasn't that horrid one. I often agree with what you say on those controversial threads.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Now raining in Lincoln , lovely morning been on an organised walk
There's another one, but I plan to trim up the lower rhododendron stems and get rid of the lonicera to reveal this one.

The duck is back. Seems very tame.

West Side Story? Careful, Hosta, or you'll become a cliche.

Could it be a glacial erratic? I still think I'd move the plants !
