Hey Solent Wind - what are you gonna keep in your shed then?
Dove - I hope you left a note... I had to address a man not long ago when he drove in at an angle beside me and disappeared. Fortunately I was in the car when he came back and as I drove forward to let my daughter in (she couldn't have opened the door) I wound down the window and said 'next time leave me a tin opener' . He apologised.
Ohhh... the floor washing of the plaster dust obelixx...don't remind me...
I haven't commented on the 'in or out' thread...I don't feel equipped to make a decision because I don't know how much truth is being spoken by either camp. I don't believe much of what politicians tell us at any point, so how do we sort the truth from the lies....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Glad to hear you're home Hosta and that all went well. Enjoy being spoilt. Best wishes x
I haven't posted on the in or out thread either. Not sure what is best, but do know how I feel about a lot of what's been mentioned on there. Think I'll stay quiet.
It's been a lovely sunny day here today. Had all the windows open all day.
Hello all, very quick pop in on my tiny phone on borrowed 'whiffy'. Having a super time and have a bag full of plants to bring back courtesy of my friend here in Paignton, hope they survive in the wet newspaper until Thursday. Still planning on popping in Hosta, I'll help with the hot cross buns don't worry. I hope you are OK, I have messaged you.
Can't read back , phone too small and posts seem very long. Very best wishes to Lyn though, I saw it's getting (still) tough.
Hope everyone one else is OK.
Off for fancy fish & chips tonight.

When I was a kid, our alsation x labrador dog used to have sheeps heads. Half a sheeps head was delivered every monday by the coop. Mum used to pressure cook it, then slice off all the meat, which the dog had with any leftovers and a handful of winalot. Every monday , we used to roll about when the insurance man who used to collect money, always complimented mum on the delicious stew she was cooking.
eventually, after another phone call to them, Crocus got back to me re my disappointment with an order from them.
Took me 3 phone calls...the last demanding immediate attention.... and 4 emails including a photo of the tiniest plug of Salvia Embers Wish they sent me.
i have a full refund but not impressed with the Crocus customer care team. when pressed as to why they supply such tiny plants for an inflated price I was told their supply comes from B & Q. I interrupted her at this point because this surprised me. Clearly then B & Q will be selling these and probably as bigger and cheaper plants.
should really add Crocus to good/bad guys thread but they ...eventually....resolved the issue.
Not a company I will deal with again though....better value out there
Not sure if anyone remembers this from last week, but I was astonished that Crocus, a company that I admire and use regularly, should be sourcing their plants from B&Q. So I wrote to them, and they replied:

Hope everyone has had a good day.
Evening all.
Cold and wet here today.
Still not been able to give the lawns their first cut this year. Not a job I particularly enjoy, not as big as Hosta's, but still take 2 hours to cut.
looking at plant porn for most of the day, but this year, I am going to decide where each plant will go, before I buy anything.
Hope everyone has a good evening, we will be watching The A Word, which we are quite enjoying.
Glad you are ok. Hosta.

I think we went through that bit of Norwich on Saturday! DIL and SIL got lost but found us eventually.
Great shed Solent Wind!
Glad you survived Hosta, I hope the pain goes soon.
We went for a midday drink with our nice neighbours.
Have planted the pots in the shade on the patio and raked the bank behind the wall and scattered a packet of mixed annuals seeds on it.
Garden table arrived, not broken this time, looks nice, has a tiled top.

Good to 'see' you DD - glad you're having fun - you'll have a lovely time with Hosta too
