  • Hello all,

Not had time to read back yet but wanted to say hello. My friends have just left after 5 days and I helped last night (until 4am) with the local village choucroute evening so I am exhausted. Hopefully after a good nights sleep I will be back on form tomorrow and able to get organised for my trip to the UK and of course my visit with Hosta, obviously the most important thing on my schedule - he has promised Hot Cross Buns!!! image

Have a good evening all, hope you are all well. image

DD have a lovely trip  and a visit to Hosta - he really is a lovely chap - one of the best - and his garden and the view from his windows ...... to die for image

BL - have a good journey over here - if you fancy/have time for a trip to S'wold I may be spending quite a bit of time there and would possibly be up for a chat and a coffee/pint/lunch or whatever ...... but I'll quite understand if you've got other things planned image

We've just had roast belly of pork with roasted apples and onions, new potatoes and curly kale.  That's the last lot of cholesterol-laden food that will pass my lips until next weekend.  After my last blood test we're going demi-veg during the week and only eating meat at the weekend.  I'm a bit of an all or nothing girl and I think I can handle it this way best.

Missing The Night Manager, hopefully something new on instead. Did think he dried off very quickly after going in the pool fully dressed lol.

Dove, it would be nice to meet up, but I thought you had other things on your mind with Ma. If we met for lunch it would have to have a nice veggie menu then, but I may not join you! We like fish. Is that allowed? No batter! Have sent you an email.

Steak and kidney was fantastic, with a lovely bottle of Languedoc red.

Just watched the Night Manager replacement, seems like it might be quite good.

Hosta, I took some Penstemon cuttings today as well, from the trimmings as I was cutting them back.

    Good journeys to the travellers.

How can you lie there and think of England

We watched a programme about the Durrell family moving to Corfu, really enjoyed it.
