Wonky, I had one of those for overflow from the main greenhouse, when hubby bought next door, and I knew I had a large area to fill from scratch. Make sure the guy ropes are well anchored. The cover only lasted two seasons and then disintegrated, but I reused to bits from the frame to make shelves inside the baby grow tunnel I bought instead.

Clarington, if you don't have time to grow the plants, will you have time to plant a few?. I always have excess due to a pathological inability to throw away healthy seedlings. I think we need an East Midlands/ south yorkshire, meet and plant swap/ giveaway. It could be combined with cake and coffee somewhere.

what do you think, clarington,  Kef,  Mrs garden, punkdoc?

I'm quite getting into art in the garden. I like the fishes on sticks, swimming above a ribbon of blue plants?

I love the way my dandelions catch the sun at the moment.

I really liked the  Dale Chihuli glass when he did the exhibition at Kew, but prices were way out of my league. However some of his blown flowers were very like old carnival pressed glass bowls that can be picked up for a few quid each on eBay. If I can work out a way of drilling glass and then fixing it to a metal frame, I might be in with a chance.

Wilkos have got green wire plant supports in. They sold out early last year, so I have stocked up and will attempt to support plants before they need it. I have just squashed four Lily beetles making merry on my lilium henryii. The l henryi  are a foot high and well in front of the regale in pots, and the tree lilies.

    Morning all.

One of those big milky coffees please Dove, but I've had two already image

This is the first year I haven't seen Lily beetles on my Madonna lilies and they are 2ft tall. Every year I think of digging them up as they always get eaten. Maybe I speak too soon!

Wonky, make sure it's well attached, even if you have to put a rope around it and attach it to the wall! They have a nasty habit of blowing away in strong winds.

Gosh, KEF, a few weeks! Here funerals have to be within a few days, if you want a week's wait you have to get special permission. It affects ex-pats who have relations who want to come.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good morning all!  image

A lovely sunny day.  Shopping done, rest of the day my own (in the garden, where else?) because OH is out until late tonight.  Don't even have to make proper meals...  image

Fidget, I love the celandines shining in my lawn.  They get weeded out of the borders, mostly, but I love their brightness this time of year.  image

Wonky, your greenhouse looks excellent!  Wonder how long it'll be before it's full to bursting with plants...  image  You can often buy replacement covers if it's a standard size - my local GC sells quite a selection.

    Right.  Sunglasses required!  image  SYL
