I wish I could get out and meet you at Hosta's, can't leave dad though. Maybe next time you visit. Have a safe journey and enjoy your holiday.

  • Did they not maybe mean they also supplied B&Q? I've had nothing but good plants from Crocus, unlike B&Q. Seems a strange one, can't see B&Q managing to grow anything since they can't even manage straight pieces of timber.

Saying that, I only buy plugs when T&M are selling 70-odd for a tenner. Half of them will die, but even then it's a bargain.

A lot of B&Q stock is cheap imports as well. Perhaps they mean that they use the same supplier as B&Q  image

    It's still b****y poor.

In defence of B&Q though - I reckon some of the staff do a better job with plants than the staff at my local GC.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Evening image Have also had two wisdom teeth out (although not with a 3 month old on my lap!) The first one the dentist said to me that I could choose root canal or extraction. I chose root canal and then he said, 'thing is, you can't open your mouth wide enough for me to do a root canal......' 'So extraction it is then' I said! Not much of a choice really..... he also promised it wouldn't hurt.... Not true either.... Luckily the second one came out faster than I could blink and with no pain image

I had Mac n cheese done in the slow cooker..... won't be doing that again!

Hope you are feeling better Wonky image

Have a lovely holiday DD x

Good morning you two early birds. We've had a mild day, cool but sunny.

We are going out to dinner tonight. Our friend is celebrating his 80 th birthday tomorrow, but because his daughter (who is an ambulance officer) is on duty tomorrow, we are meeting tonight. There is a new restaurant in town which is Russian, so the plan is to try it out, I'm not familiar with Russian food, but there are so many countries included in USSR that who knows what the menu will contain. I don't fancy cold Beetroot soup, though, if that is there. I'll let you all know later what it's like.image

    Hi Pat image

I've been meaning to say, we've not been able to access that tv programme you sent us - son says it's because it was from Australian tv and ours is a different system.  My techie son in law is visiting at the weekend ... I'll ask him image

Morning all. Preparing myself for a scouts invasion this weekend at the museum. Part excited part dreading it! At least they've not got any food allergies; one group I have visiting later in the year are going to be a real challenge to accommodate with so many allergies declared.

Pat I hope you have a lovely meal out! Please let us know what Russian food involves I must confess I have no idea. Potato and vodka? I'm intrigued!
