Morning all / afties Pat - hope it's not too chilly for you.
Lovely here - for now anyway, but clouds coming through from the north. Not that I can do much gardening - no garden left that isn't covered by timber, sand, soil and 'stuff'.
I could have done with some of your energy yesterday DD - at about 2pm when my legs were flagging a little....
Steve - Marathon is my sweet of choice. Snickers is such a stupid name isn't it? I think we should start a petition to change the name back....
Lovely idea fidget. I'm not a believer in heaven or hell, but it's comforting to think of parents having the right resting place. I scattered some of my parents' ashes at the little bay near Ullapool where we used to holiday. There are worse views for anyone to have for eternity.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fidget I adore the idea of the fruit trees. What a wonderful idea.
His lordship has requested meatloaf for supper tonight. Can I find my fail proof receipe? Can I fudge.
I might have a go at digging over one of the vegetable beds. We're definately not planting. Nope I promised myself no plants until the house is finished. But the soil always looks so much better dug fresh than left to go to weed.
Then we just have to obtain some red daffodils to plant. Standing joke in our family. Dad loved the red daffodils mum had planted. They were tulips. the gardening gene runs down mums side of the family.
Got up late after a late night out dancing. Did the cleansing routine with the thumb and pulled out a 1cm long shard th ebloody doctor had missed with his magnifying glasses. No wonder it's been so tender since he "cleaned" it and removed the speck!
Big hole left but not sore anymore so hoping I can drive secateurs and trowel and hoe by tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. So much catching up to do.
Here in Wallonia it is persisting down - heavy sleet. OH had cut the grass again but has now retreated indoors. Dance practice this pm so no more gardening today anyway.
Enjoy your pottering Hosta. Mine is ff to Le Touquet for 4 days of golf next weekend so I shall be a mouse at play too.
FB - lovely idea.
I don't do Marathon anything but agree Snickers is a stupid name. Also have to wonder why Treats became M&Ms. Sounds (c)rappy.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
