Dove, Condolences to you and Wonky and all the family. So glad it was peaceful, my dad used to call it a "good end"

She was 92 two days ago Jimmy. Pa died just over a year ago at 96. They'd been married nearly 70 years. Pa proposed after knowing her just six weeks. She always said it was because she knew how to work the new fangled milking machines. He said it was because she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, and he kept saying that until the day he died.

That is so moving, what a great relationship they had. My condolences to you both, Dove and Wonky. I'm glad it was a peaceful end for Ma. I hope Dove managed to get some sleep in the end.

Hugs from me too.   So pleased she had a peaceful end with someone who loved her close by.   I hope the grieving process is as peaceful.   It sounds like she has a loving family and had a good life so lots to celebrate too.

Thank you all for your wonderful kindness and support.  You really are a great bunch.

I've made all the necessary phone calls - Coroner, Funeral Directors, relatives, DWP and Annuity Providers and asked the Manager of The Lovely Home to thank her wonderful staff for all their many kindnesses to Ma and to me.

Now I shall have yet another coffee, tidy the kitchen a bit and take niece up to the Farm Shop and GC for lunch.  image
