Of course, there's a fourth option, which is to abandon the idea entirely. Which is the safest of all. You don't want OH to come home and find you trapped under a rock, dead from crush injuries.
Good morning everyone. We've been watching the Anzac events on TV today. It's a public holiday in Australia today. It's hard to feel cheerful when all the historical information is repeated again. So many dead.
Our weather is trying to be Autumn, but I think Winter is winning the argument.
Ive cleaned up all the strawberries that are in pots or tubs and put them in the greenhouse to recover. Only small leaves left now and no dead or diseased leaves to be seen. I've got seedlings emerging of leeks and onions, and the Broccolini needs to go outside into garden beds soon because they are outgrowing their small pots. I need to dig up part of the summer crop garden to make room for them, so looks likes a busy day tomorrow.
The head came off a splitting axe the other week. I asked the advice of a neigbour whi happened to be passing; he took me into his enormous workshop and fixed it there and then.
On reflection I think I agree with Dove and Lily. Don't DIY!
For the love of chocolate get the farmers in to do it. They've the equipment, the strength, and it'll not damage you which is the most important bit!!
I've come to work on my day off to give a presentation. A kind archivist (and person who knows all the information I need to do said presentation and in fact would be 1000 times better at it than me) offered to come in to help make my presentation look generally awesome as he was too busy to assist on Friday.
He's not here.
My presentation looks so very bare and is in not many hours time.
You lot are currently proving a welcome distraction from otherwise crawling into a small ball and hiding.
But can we all agree , it would look lovely in the new site?
I thought if they had their big digger on the drive ( behind the other rock on the left of Photo 1 ) they could attach one of those great straps thingies and drag it????

And it'd please Lily (who cross-posted with me).
If you try to do it yourself I will be very cross indeed!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

tee hee. Love you guys.
I had one of " the boys" on site a while back and mentioned how much nicer it would look 2m to the left.
He replied.
"why do you have to be so fussy?"
Aesthetics , that's why.
Hosta, if it were me, I would leave it, firstly, because I am lazy, and secondly, because I don't think it would be good for your knee.
However, I also recognise, that because it is a challenge, you will be tempted to take it on.
I did receive your PM. SGL,, which was lovely, as were the others I received.
I am still trying to work out, how I can involve myself in some of the more argumentative threads, without losing my cool.
When you don't even know who's in the team

punkdoc, I tried, and failed to send you a PM. Have I been blocked?

It looks like a seat to me, to sit and enjoy the view.
is it like an iceberg with 90% underneath??
Moving it will scrape off some of the patina/ageing effect and destroy some of the aesthetics.
It would be easier to move the pond nearer.
