We used to have swallows but they don't come any more. A wren and a redstart use their nests, but they've been falling off the wall, only one left, someone is relining it.
Has anyone heard the cuckoo? It's been around for about a week.
We are going to the after concert lunch today. I wanted a shower, but no hot water. We had a little power cut. When that happens the water heater turns itself off.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Are you sure Monty wasn't feeling a bit wobbly because of his health? He hasn't been quite the same since his stroke. It is a recorded programme and would have been examined before going out.

I'm going to have to rewatch that programme - mind you, I wasn't really paying attention to it - it was in the background while I was reading.
I hear cuckoos on the lower areas on the hills in spring BL - was lucky enough to see one last year when I was out. There's a few in the Arrochar area in particular.
I thought of you yesterday as I drove through Killin - the road was totally snow free this time!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you for thinking of me, Fairy . I've only been to Killin in summertime, but I remember your snowy photos. Visiting a brother in Scotland isn't very practical in winter! I don't go often anyway, it's so far, and now his son is in the spare room.

It's a really pretty place BL - and gets a lot of visitors because of it's location and the falls of course - they were pretty spectacular yesterday after all the rain and recent snow melt. At least I wasn't in any danger of getting snowbound in the glen this time! I've only just changed that photo of the falls as my desktop pic to a more springlike one too.

Morning all. Sunny here. Hello P Pam.

When I think of it Lizzie, I don't think I've heard a cuckoo since we moved here.

Probably a good thing not to hear a cuckoo. Your little birds' babies will be safer than mine. It's just that it makes it feel like spring.
Lizzie: FB was full of it the other day. Deffo sloshed.

Sorry I meant to write p*ss*d in my first post.Sorry for any offence caused.
Fairy, it's at the "reveal" of the garden in Twickenham . Not even a coherent sentence.
As he left he said it'd win a gold medal at any flower show. That sealed it, deffo under the influence of something.
Thank you for thinking of me, Fairy
